I've been exited for this game for over a year and it still did more than I expected it to.

This has a pretty in depth fighting mini-game for a fishing simulator but other than that fun game.

About 3/4ths of my time using this software has been dedicated to rendering.

I love using it to make 3D DnD maps for my players and honestly think its one of if not the best tool to use when making 3D DnD maps that is both engaging for your players and interactive.

The tool is super super good for playing Warhammer and just overall board game fun times, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to play board games with friends or even just DM's looking to add more immersion to their games. This doesn't mean the tool doesn't have its issues however, In my hours of using the tool I have grown to both love and hate it. As i don't want to make the review too long here's a list of things I think would improve to the tool.

-- Please allow me to rotate objects vertically (I dislike having to constantly throw objects in order to get them in a position that I want as whenever you pick up and drop an object normally it stays stood up straight with seemingly no way to rotate it vertically).

-- Allow users to make custom sized tables and maps rather than having to fiddle with boards and objects to extend the table size.

-- Allow an option to turn the collision of an object off (an out of way method of doing it is to remove the url found in the collision section of most custom items, this results in an error message popping up for almost every item you do this to though and also makes it so you cannot edit it further)

-- Allow users to disable gravity and alter the height of their objects manually (I know there is a low gravity function and you can hold left click to keep things at their lowest point but Its honestly super frustrating sometimes to try and add little details to things by making them fall and spamming the lock function till you get it right).

-- Allow for players to further modify things like fog of war or hidden sections, a way of doing this could be to add a simple connect the dots system over only allowing cubes and rectangles, meaning I have to stack them on top of each other to get the shapes I want, it isn't perfect but its the best I can do).

--Please fix fog of war (while I love the addition I just really want it to be fixed, Ideally just make it a hidden cube and make it so that it reveals around the model and everything above it as the model moves in the fog of war, in its current version I have to layer it and use a mix of hidden blocks and fog of war blocks to make it so that my players don't just see the map, also make it so that fog of war can hide parts of the table, I use custom tables with the 2D map underneath and the problem I always encounter is that the 2D version of the map is shown when using fog of war because of this, I'm unsure if this is because I tend to use lighting a lot in my maps but I feel the lighting shouldn't effect just making it a solid black, this plus the feature just overall being buggy I really would like to see a fully finished version of this feature).

-- Make it so that you can save backgrounds on other peoples maps (this one isn't needed but saves me some time finding finding backgrounds as the size of them needs to be quite large as it has to be a 360 / panoramic image and on google alot of them can be too small, some people upload backgrounds onto the workshop and all it would take is 1 button for me to save that and then add it too my map).

-- If you plan on not updating the tool at least add open source modding with community made tools, Ideally the person who is just playing and not making the map will not have to get the open source mods (with them just being installed upon entering the server similar to other games) but I'm not picky nor experianced enough to know if this is even possible with this tool. Judging by how dedicated the small community is I can promise that people will come up with better and easier to use tools. If the tools cant be used on multiplayer servers at least allow them on single player servers for those who want to make maps for it then to just revert back to standard tools when the map is put into multiplayer.

While I would love to see these things added don't let that discourage you from purchasing the tool yourself. Compared to other map making / tabletop tools out there it by far shines as one of if not the best for me and while not perfect there is nothing else better that I can think of for making 3D maps for DnD, playing Warhammer without breaking the bank (besides maybe the official Warhammer games when they're on sale, for 40K though it 100% is the cheapest and easiest method to play as of now) and playing tabletop games without trying to constantly search the web for a free multiplayer version of one.

Tabletop simulator is one of my favorite tools to use and I can only hope they update the tool to make it that much better. Planning on running Icewind Dale - Rime of the Frostmaiden with some friends and I'm also planning to upload all the chapter 1 battle maps that I'm using onto the workshop once I am done with all of them. It just sucks that users will have to ignore or go though tons and tons of error messages because of what I had to do to make the terrain non collidable.

I will update this review when problems I have had are fixed or a big update has happened.
