Don't waste your time. The game population is bordering on dead and queue times are insane. The devs seem to think that somehow the upcoming expansion is a silver bullet that will magically fix thier problems, in spite of repeated evidence to the contrary in games in similar genres historically.

Actual problems with the game:
1; extreme barrier to entry for new players who can't or won't spend money. Potentially a month or more of playtime to craft the first legendary set.

2; Low player population means it is hard to find games. If you do find a game as a new player odds are you will be overwhelmed by the higher rarity cards your opponent can field.

3; If you manage to get beyond those issues at the higher levels the mechanics become grossly unfun to play with or against. Games are either over in minutes through an aggro smack down or drag out into an hour long retreat grind fest.

4; Multiple UI iterations have left the game looking and feeling awkward and clunky.

5; Sound and voice acting is terrible. I was only able to play with the sound disabled.

6; The devs have made increasingly bizarre choices, including yesterday one of the moderators blaming the queue length on players because they give up and leave queue after the first 10 minute wait. You can check it out on the discussion boards here.

In summation there are myriad reasons not to play the game, and for the life of me I cannot conceive of a reason to reccomend it. Avoid.

Don't waste your time. The devs of this game have repeatedly shown their incompetence, from releasing patches that claim that bugs have been fixed when they aren't (same bug over multiple patches in some cases), to their Community Manager sending insulting and harassing PMs to players both in and out of game, Infinity Wars is simply a bizarre mess. When I first picked this game up I fell in love with it, in spite of the numerous bugs and balance issues. Now, over two years later, with the bugs still rampant and uncorrected, and the devs showing a clear lack of interest in either growing the game or engaging with the player base, the time has come to let this corpse of a game finally rest in peace.

I would advise anyone looking at this game to steer clear, but if you do feel an overwhelming urge to try it out - do not under any circumstances spend money on it, you will regret it very quickly.

Early Access Review
I saw this game at PAX and honestly thought it wouldn't interest me that much, but it has absolutely blown me away. Building on a familiar platform that games like RISK and Heroes of Might and Magic have introduced, Legends of Callasia brings new innovations to the genre. The introduction of simultaneous turns to a game like this is a stroke of brilliance, and in addition to shortening the time of a match considerably, it also adds a wealth of depth to strategic and tactical play that simply cannot be found anywhere else.

The PvE content is solid, having roughly 40 hours of prestructured missions, as well as vs AI play, but where this game really shines is the multiplayer. While the base game play is easy to learn, it is incredibly difficult to master, and you need to legitimately outplay and out think the opponent in order to secure a win.

In addition the dev team behind the game is very accessible, both through their Discord channel, as well as their regular twitch streams. They are eager to listen to feedback, and have taken suggestions from players and incorporated them into the game on several occasions. They really love their product and want their players to love it too - and it is great to see a dev team that cares that much about both their product and their players.

Overall I have to give Legends of Callasia a solid 10/10.
