Old man, alone in an old manor in a rainy day. That's the main character. He shuffles around his house, chased by old memories and delusions, going deeper and depper in the dark void of delirium. That's the essence of Layers of Fear - traversing the bizarre labyrinth of the mad man's twisted consciousness which took form of a giant manor. It's not a horror per se, although it has some jump scares and disturbing visuals - it's more a jorney through the decaying reality.

If you are familiar with "Everybody's gone to the rapture", then it's quite similar - with the exception of 200% more interaction, only interior locations and moving speed from normal human, not from semi-paralyed slug.

I'll keep it short as the game itself.
Pros:
+Cute lynx cub
+The world from Shelter 2, that's really strangely immersive
+Relative freedom of movement
+You can hunt for entertainment
+Story
+Big fluffy friend!

Cons:
-Short
-Camera is sometimes... well... not optimal.
-Ending - mighty punch right in the FEELS :(

Fazit:
80% recommended for everybody
199% recommended for those who played Shelter 2 (take it as a backstory of Inna's childhood)
