First act in the cabin where we fight Leshy is awesome. Tension is there, good gameplay is there and the cabin puzzle is very well mixed with deckbuilder.

And it would be fine if the game ended there. However, we also have Act 2 and then Act 3 which is just an average pixel graphics card and I could not make myself finish it.

Thumbs up are for Act 1 only.

Awesome deckbuilder game. The basic version is a bit plain and, therefore, expansions are a must. However, once installed, the game just rocks.

I have a question to authors - are you planning to implement other expansions?

Overall nice game, but has some issues:

1) RNG is too punishing and most actions are win-all or lose big. Any given loss sets you back a few turns, which is painful considering game has timers, i.e. it will kill you if you don't progress fast enough. After realising it, you know you can afford only a few loses before game becames unwinnable. Then it's restart (or backup save folder and re-load ^^).

2) There are only two risk-management tools: the configuration of your advisors and purple dices (gold?). Advisors take a turn to exchange which defeats its purpose. My suggestion is to allow advisor to act in the same turn it was exchanged or purchased. The purple dice is very rare and there is just not enough of it (unless you lucked out with events) - selling items is the only way to get enough of it, but then player misses the whole items mechanics. My suggestion is to let it be a tribute from couquered city.

3) When advisor is send on a quest, its skills don't matter. It will be nice if advisor dices were added. Currently, the best advisors are kept at castle to generate dices, while player sends the weakest ones.

Take care, Les

As an indie developer myself I can say - WELL DONE!!

Very interesting game, offers its unique progression system with many spells and skills. I hope developers will finish at least six existing books.

A superb deck builder with an interesting twist: cards are your life and you can claim it back once you kill an enemy. A few minor bugs, but nothing game-breaking.

Very interesing twist on Tetra Master (from FF8): cards have multiple skills, you can select perks, etc. Simple concept with many complexities. I recommend it wholehearty.

One idea for card skill for developers - cars that cannot be played on turn one, cards that cannot be played on turn five, cards that must be played on turn five, etc.

Alright, game is nicely-done tactical RPG where you select four characters out of eight available and embark on killing everyone standing. There any many tactical options - my favourite is sneaking with female assassin and kill off all archers while the strong men due kills off all charging melee units. There is also Merlin with his spells, but those are difficult to use and not that effective.

Heroes can be fine-tuned with a variety of items (usually +x-kind, but there are some of special skills as well) and you can purchase them set of unique skills (for experience). The money and experience are scarce, thus you should think twice what you select.

A few suggestions for developers (from a fellow indie):
(i) double the amount of experience - I want to explore team members' skills. I finished game with maybe a third of skills unlocked. Your game is linear, so I won't be playing again... how many interesting mechanics do I miss?
(ii) Increae range and effectiveness of spells: Chain Lightning is useless with 4-tiles range and little damage, Mind Trick is not working as designed.
(iii) Duanne skills are almost the same and that applies to a few pointless skills like Dark Arts and Paralyse Analyse.
(iv) Make healing potions cheaper and in more variety. Due to healing mechanics, Felix is mandatory team member, therefore I usually chose between three other members. If healing potion will cost 50gp and heal +5HP, I would consider not taking Felix.
(v) Ferghus has too low Defence - I don't see a point of using melee unit if it can be easily one-shot.
(vi) Why tavern is so expensive (300gp) vs. camping (50gp)?
(vii) Pushing barrels into enemies is not shown in tutorial. It's funny mechanics.

Overall, it's a very good game and I haven't seen any major bugs. I will be glad to play other games from developers.

Anyone playing the Age of Fear, Fort Trumph, Battle Brothers are alike should feel at home.

(One day Valve has to explain how the heck it calculates the time played game. It shows like 4 hrs at the moment, while I am sure it should be around 20 or more.)

Very good game. It's an interesting mix of novel turn-based RPG and rogue-style play.

There are a few minor bugs but nothing game-breaking (so far). My only gripes is that developers are no longer active on forums.

I have owned this game for at least six moths and today finally decided to play a bit.

While graphically it's not superb, it's a VERY GOOD game indeed. Three different heroes, sixteen enemies - each single one with interesting and unique skills. The game itself is really challenging.

One question - did anyone crack the third nest level (with Living Weapon)?

Hi devs, it's a very good game full of interesting mechanics!

My only gripes are the lack of save when you finally reach the lowest dungeon and have information that further dungeons are to be developed. Please give a save option - I have build my mage during a few hours and I want to retain it.

Otherwise, it's a very solid product and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to deckbuilder-lovers.
