Still want to play this in co op, the game is compelling enough for a second run. Better than the first one in many ways, even though I liked part one as well.

Yes it's as awesome as everyone says. I was an early access player, so I've seen the game grow to the form it is now. There will be minor spoilers in this review (nothing story wise, only gameplay)

The game has gotten rid of the RNG stuff that was just annoying (timed doors were randomly generated in places so sometimes you JUST missed it because the door was further away or in weird places, felt unfair), they fixed that so that the doors are in the hub places between levels. Also, now there are more viable playing styles, the three types of upgrades (red - strength, purple - utility, green - survival) and the different weapons. All of these have affixes that can buff each other potentially.

The game is smooth, super easy to pick up with intuitive controls and is very addictive. Also the monsters are all very different. Learn the patterns of the enemies and you will beat the game through player skill. The rogue LITE part also helps, if you beat enemies they spawn cells which you can use for upgrading chances on finding +, ++ or S versions of the same weapons. Or unlocking blueprints of items that have very different play styles. Including shields for blocking, ranged weapons like a bow or a whip, and a lot of melee type of weapons.

And then I haven't even talked about the powers you can unlock. Every run you can activate 3 powers. They unlock through playing the game. Powers can be something like, every attack you block heals you for a percentage of your health, but also a lot weirder things like become invisible for x amount of time after a kill. For the speed runners I guess..

And then you can also launch your head off your torso and reach secret places to find new stuff. Yes, they really put that in the game.

Very much enjoy the game because the game is great, and I'm a big fan of the support of the devs.

Old school RPG that's challenging in puzzle solving and combat. Sometimes had to look up some playthroughs as some of the puzzles are a bit far fetched imo, but nevertheless very fun! Also, the humor is great. I haven't even finished it though.. will do eventually!
