Just realized I hadn't put out a review for Disco Elysium.
Probably the only heavy text, story-based game that made me play it twice.
Not to explore different endings (as the writing is pretty much linear) but to relive the atmosphere.
The world-building, it's heavily detailed history, the narrator's voice, the characters and the music compose a setting of mellow sadness that's both immersive and addictive.
Gameplay wise it's based on dialogue and skill checks. Your rate of success mostly depends on your skill levels which can be substantially affected by clothing and accessories you find along the way. It's a nice take on the traditional armor-weapon upgrades you see on traditional RPGs . Here your weapons are different and your strength highly depends on your image and how people perceive you.
I have only played the voiced over edition so I can imagine that the previous one could be cumbersome in some points due to the walls of text but that's not an issue anymore.
All in all every fan of great story-telling and RPGs should play this. Everyone will find it decent but some people will be thrilled and touched in way very few games manage to do.
I could play every single sequel based on the world of Disco Elysium but to my disappointment ZA/UM came to an abrupt end. Hope someone picks up..

One of the best top down rpg's out there. Unique story, immersive battle mechanisms and linear plot line but with substantial choice making involved. Enjoyed every bit of it. Only downside for me were some subpar designed enemies (in the walls). Music is also amazing and replayability value is as high as it gets.

Highly immersive 2d soulsborne world (mostly borne i d say) with very accurate platforming and fighting mechanics. It also gives build versatility through the charm system.
The artwork is really unique as well.
Great experience overall with many hours of content which can easily be doubled if you go for completion since the secrets are literally everywhere and many times connected. (though you d probably need a guide for that)

If you 've played the 1st one you 'll find orgasms here..If you haven't then I suggest you try it first cause you 'll still like n2 but you 'll be a bit out of context.

Despite all this the game offers something unique in terms of atmosphere ,is as hard as decent game should be and has the greatest soundtrack ever made.

Amazing game..Short but very entertaining with an interesting combat system.Looks like a parody but I wish more ''serious'' games were like that. Kudos
