Yeah, the idea seems very similar to Minecraft, but once you get into the game, you realize it's very different, but still as good as the 3D one. The main difference between the two is that Terraria is more focused on fighting action than the other available actions, like building, while Minecraft is the opposing; also, Terraria is by far more ludical than Minecraft. It is surely a bargain for it's price.
