Brine rats are Slayer monsters that can be found in the Brine Rat Cavern near Rellekka. They are notable for being the only monsters to drop the Brine sabre. A Slayer level of 47 is required to fight them.

They are only assigned to players who have progressed in Olaf's Quest to the point where they need to enter the Brine Rat Cavern. Additionally, they can be killed as an alternative for a rat Slayer task provided the player has the appropriate Slayer level to do so.

Brine rats have relatively low Defence, but fairly high Strength and Attack. As such, it is recommended to bring food if players do not have high (~70) Defence.

Alternatively, players can bring Bones to peaches (tablet) to convert their bones drops to peaches, which heal 8 hitpoints each. Bringing logs and a tinderbox to cook and eat the Raw rat meat and

Critters' bone abodes often have charming little details, like bone chandeliers and bone furniture, adding to the whimsy and delight of their tiny communities.

Gremlin Gastronomy: Gremlins, notorious for their love of mischief and culinary adventures, have discovered the peculiar flavor-enhancing properties of bones. These mischievous creatures turn bones into culinary masterpieces by using them as makeshift skewers for their unique delicacies. Gremlin chefs are renowned for their bone kebabs, where they thread bite-sized portions of scrumptious meats, vegetables, and even magical ingredients onto long bones, creating a delightful and interactive dining experience.

Gnomish Contraptions: Gnomes, renowned for their inventiveness and engineering prowess, have found ingenious uses for bones within their intricate contraptions. They use bones as levers, switches, or even as the backbone (quite literally!) of their mechanical creations. Gnomish tinkers assemble elaborate devices, such as bone-powered catapults, bone-driven vehicles, and even bone-powered musical instruments that emit whimsical tunes when played.

In the whimsical realm of a video game teeming with silly little creatures like ghouls, gremlins, gnomes, homunculi, and critters, bones take on a lighthearted and imaginative role. These creatures, with their mischievous and playful nature, have devised creative and comical uses for the bones they acquire.

Ghoul Fashion: Ghouls, known for their peculiar taste in fashion, have a knack for accessorizing with bones. They collect an assortment of bones and fashion them into elaborate and eccentric bone jewelry. From bone necklaces adorned with shiny trinkets to bone bracelets with tinkling charms, ghouls proudly display their bone creations as a form of self-expression and personal style.

Bones are the remains of the dead and are dropped by most monsters with animal or humanoid appearance. Monsters that do not drop bones include demons, imps, spirits, ghosts, spiders, and insectoids among others. Some monsters drop other specific types of bones, such as big bones, bat bones, monkey bones or dragon bones.

Just wanted to announce my retirement and point out that my retirement now means this game is not worth playing anymore. You should all really consider also retiring and announcing your retirements so that future people can continue to retire.
