I grew up on the original three Tomb Raider Titles and I loved them to death... But eventually my Playstation died and and there weren't new systems being made anymore and in fact I upgraded to the Playstation 2. Which wasn't bad but eventually the Playstation 2 went the way of it's original system save? I've also bought the X-Box and Gamecube too! But one day? I looked at ALL my consoles and figured out HOW MUCH CASH I BLEW on all of them. EXPENSIVE and I can't afford this type of expense anymore but PC? Yes the system is generally twice as expensive to start with but perk? You buy a new PC when you old one dies? You simply transfer all your old games to the new PC. PC towers also have their own set of headaches but? Their flexibility makes them worth it. But Tomb Raider was one of the few Playstation games I couldn't emulate successfully on the PC no matter what emulator I used. Something game breaking always glitched IF the game would run at all.

So I was actually excited to buy this remastered version and better yet? Seems to be running flawlessly. It's almost actually painful to watch the original graphics on a Hi-Def TV! LOL. More importantly? The gameplay itself hasn't been touched and the camera going wonky occasionally in Tomb Raider? Remember this was one of the FIRST EARLY games to play in third person as the vast majority of the time? Camera works just fine.

I loved the first Tomb Raider, the second one was kind of hum ho and the final third one? WAS THE BEST easily! These classic games are easily worth $10 a pop, granted a lot of people whom never played the original Tomb Raider? Going to HATE the controls but the game was actually DESIGNED around them too. Some jumps HAVE TO BE MADE PERFECT or YOU WILL DIE. A standing jump and a running jump definitely define how far you CAN jump and it takes Lara exactly of square to hit running speed and also when you pull back? She hops EXACTLY one square back so you can get the perfect running space needed.

Well enough going down memory lane, there's a REASON Tomb Raider was so good back in it's day and with the graphics touch up to roughly today's standards? It's not an eye sore either. But if you are into games where you need instant gratification? Avoid this game like the plague. This game is about exploring and figuring out how to get from point a to b with a decent story tied to it. The creatures are more jump scares than anything else as it usually is the levels themselves that are the MOST dangerous to you. Granted, definitely don't try wrestling with a bear either! LOL. Don't know why but ALL animals hate Lara and all the people she meets? Want her dead too! But great game just the same.

Early Access Review
I was on the fence for quit a bit with Satisfactory and now? Wish I would of bought it a LOT SOONER!

What isn't there to like? I could make this review a LOT shorter if I only point out it's shortcomings as there isn't much to bash this game with. Is it hard? Yes and no but it will definitely get your old noodle thinking. So lets start off with the obvious.

The game is beautiful, extremely LARGE MAP and a LOT of details have been but into this game. Unfortunately this means you will have to have a decent rig to play this game in it's full beauty. The flexibility this game gives you to remold this world is staggering and the best point of this game? You can play it as YOU see fit but I won't say this game STAYS easy as the goals in the game keep getting raised in the most surprising way. PRODUCTIVITY! And the key to productivity? Figuring out HOW to fully auto-mate your factories where you DON'T need to be there 24/7 for them to keep working as you keep upgrading your tools to maximize production because halfway through the game? You are delivering products with multiple complex parts that need to be assembled in mass. You CAN assemble 90% in this game yourself BUT there will be a massive time penalty as that is what you will be stuck doing the majority of the time... for HOURS. This game will easily eat up DAYS of your time as you figure out what works, what doesn't and usually? Starting over when things become too much of a mess and you plan out your next restart. There's little tricks you eventually figure out as you play the game and here's my biggest hint, leave room for expansion. Those veins you mine for ore? Those drills will eventually be upgraded to double the output so? Plan for it, put a belt splitter you don't need NOW for later. Of course there's other people who can make factories so tight and efficient? Making me look like I'm still taking baby steps which? Doesn't matter as long as I'm enjoying the game.

The thing I like most about this game? There is never any pressure to play save the pressure you put on yourself and dying is actually hard to do as long as you don't get reckless but there ARE a few dangerous enemies that WILL chase you down once you run across them but run, run! RUN!! usually works if you don't stick around TRYING to kill them. Odd note? Once you get your vehicle, save for the hachers, ALL enemies actually ignore you in a vehicle and the hachers actually can't damage the vehicle which YOU don't take damage as long as your driving. Even those deadly enemies that chase you down. There is also specific tools that are extremely useful in building that the game never touches on. Too many to list but go on YouTube to find them yourself. This is a pretty deep game that isn't here just to kill you but if you push your luck? It doesn't have a problem killing stupid.

So this is a very fun game that WILL bog you down with massive orders and ironically, even opening up your tech tree is going to cost you a lot of processed materials. I was a little slow on the uptake but? Soon as you have a new piece to make? Automate it early, it's going to save you a lot of headaches later, even if the process isn't efficient because? Parts are being made just with the game running without you having to CRAFT them all yourself. Makes me glad this game lets you make signs to remind you what a certain group of machines do after you get into automating over a dozen things.

Definitely recommend this game as it definitely is a treat to play with a lot of freedom to play it as YOU want. Just might be just a tad too addictive for it's own good but that's just how good it actually is.

When this game first came out? Dreamcast did it justice and this game was originally optimized for that console. Hated all other versions of it actually! But glad to see this PC port even though it is looking a little rough for it's age and took a few times to actually get the game to boot? Loving the simplicity of this game and yes the graphics ARE looking a little dated but they aren't bad either and it STILL captures that feeling of SPEED! Well with this game on sale? What are you waiting for if you liked the original game? It's under five bucks and? It is actually worth full price too as it will take you back to when racing games were still fairly simple. I was actually surprised how easy this IS to play with the keyboard actually! Still suggest a controller though as this game was originally made for them.

If you can't get the game to boot? Try going to the video setting before you run the game, let it crash a few times and if you are lucky like me? It will run on the third try. This port isn't perfect but it isn't bad either once you get it running.

It's been SO LONG since I played this game that? It basically plays like new to me and definitely takes me back to memory lane. I've beaten this game six ways to Sunday when it first came out but that was basically a life time ago and it is definitely worth a five dollar romp into the past.

Why wouldn't I? Plenty of hours in and? Made set-ups that take PLENTY of hours to run save? For that almost random factor that causes the ENTIRE set-up to run into an out of control chain reaction?!? LOL. It's a LITTLE buggy but? There is also a LOT of freedom in how you set it up. Simple rule of thumb? The BIGGER you make your set-up? The more likely a... how shall I say this? A stray firework randomly is going to prematurely going to set off your later sections. You CAN TURN OF THIS FUNCTION but instead of a oh crap everything is going off event? Instead the fireworks blown apart? Remember that fuse line? Just got that MUCH LONGER connecting everything that just got BLOWN APART. But that's the FUN of this game, how much can you pack close and STILL get it to run? Believe me... made runs that last four hours plus and it was STILL a fifty/fifty toss if it would run flawlessly. There is DEFINITELY a random factor in this game that will take your best laid plans... and TRASH them when you make them BIG ENOUGH.

A nice, fun and constructive that is a good way to unwind and relax while being creative. The controls are simple and the editor in this game is a snap to use and there is a very rich amount of items to work with. If you ever want to build something that is a snap? This is it and how rich it becomes is determined by how much time you want to put into the details. Yes it is a simple game but it is also designed with simple fun in mind where you are NOT going to able to get FRUSTRATED with this game. Maybe bored with it eventually but there is a lot of creative fun to be had before that magic wears off.

Wow. Those who like this game REALLY like it and those who don't?

Do but wine there isn't ENOUGH to it!

This game is seemingly simple but is anything but?

Yeah it simply complex made so friendly it seems simple and yes once you figure out the winning combo with this game it can get boring but in a good boring way!

The four level designs are actually impressive but ONLY being limited to FOUR? Yes I agree the game ends too quickly on that note BUT the developers allow you the freedom to play it any way you care to. But a lot of this game is also pot luck as what you scavenge is luck of the draw.

Let's start on graphics. What's NOT to like? It's fairly simple and straight forward but the details that were put into it? Work of passion. Seemingly simple without going overboard and there's LOTS of complex effects going on that's hard to notice because they were done with such care.

Sound and music? Well balanced. Nothing too over the top yet not so simple that you'll get bored with it too soon. They knew what they were doing sound wise where nine tenths of people couldn't write a tune for the life of them. It's so easy to do in your head, good luck actually doing it in real life.

Game play. Well normal was hard to beat until you figured out the game enough but I'm a bit let down in the jump of difficulty from normal to hard. Just adding the O2 factor by itself would of made normal to hard as now your fighting the clock to boot. After beating that THEN add the damage factor and call it TRUE Scavenger mode but doubling the damage enemies do AND lowering health buys from 25 points to 10 and the wrecked ships you find BARELY give any health back?!? That curve is a little too steep. Save that for a last insane level mode.

Controls for the game basic and perfect but could use a little fine tuning. Because the odds you WILL use more than two weapons, those rotate weapons button could of simple been mapped as two more devoted weapon activates and then use the 'slow built time' if you need to reassign them. The game is basically almost paused in that build mode. I like the touch though. On the HUD show at least four weapons IF you have four assigned to those shoulder buttons but I'm loving what they did with the HUD too! It's those fine but small details I really love.

But as I see it, first set of levels is easy so YOU CAN BUILT UP and even your most basic weapon can kill ALL the enemies fairly easy. Second set? Still fairly easy but enemies that LOVE to get close can mess you up fast. Third set? ANYTHING that can get close you going to burn you and burn you badly, so it fits as a HARD level. Final level? If you DON'T kill everything fast, you are going to be toast in NO TIME. So you can see thought has been put into level design. It just would of been nicer if a couple more got pumped out.

But hey... this title definitely DOESN'T look like it was just made by TWO people!

Yes there are a few things to dislike about this game BUT there's a lot more to like!

Recommend? Why not? I'd normally consider this a $9.99 game and the cost they are asking isn't much over that and if it was made by JUST TWO people... they earned that payoff and then some. If they just re-tweak the difficulty between normal and hard and made hard to titled insane then just made hard by ONLY adding the O2 bar? I'd say it would be perfect enough in my book.

I also love how they also had a creative mode so you CAN build the exact kind of ship you want to play instead of depending on LUCK.

Recommend again? Definitely. Anyone who has done ANYTHING in game design can see that this was a work of passion and it shows as you play it. Best yet, it was well thought out to boot.

Worst comes to worst, anyone buying and playing this game might find it boring after four hours... but NOT until after! Well worth the pay to play balance in my opinion and AFTER the hours I put in? I'm STILL enjoying it.

I've played this for OVER 900 hours. Recommend? Actually questionable given the sheer numbers of hours as in TOO ADDICTIVE. It's brain dead fun. But being brain dead generally ISN'T a good thing.

What's not to dislike and who ever knew a JUST TWO button game could become so complex?!?

Nice thing about the game? It only gets as hard as you can handle it and as you get better? THE GAME GETS FASTER with your mastery! Game starts kicking YOUR butt?!? It dials itself down cause lets face it... a game that CONSTANTLY kicks you butt isn't any fun either.

What this game does? It does well with a very over the top flare as you One Finger Death punch all the bad guys on the screen as waves upon WAVES SWARM YOU! As you turn into a HUMAN BLENDER?!? LMAO
