Excellent once you get to know how it works!

It didn't click first time, but once I understood how to play it became a zone of transcendance.

A good game. I wish the graphics options were more clearly explained.

Very difficult. But you can edit the monsters and items csvs in the game folder, which enabled me to complete it by reducing the number of monsters, and dropping more health items.

Won't even run. The developer and publisher seem to treat it as abandonware.

Yes, but with a caveat.

I assumed this would be a few catalogues of new items and a separate, short story. I looked forward to it, and because I hadn't played Little Inferno for years, I played through that first. Then I started Ho Ho Holiday ...

Ouch. It is the same full game, but with slight changes ot rgaphics, a few extra items, and one subplot of letters changed. But 90+% of the game is identical. Which meant, to see the new content, I had to play the whole game again.

I have no idea why they did it like that. If it had been a little separate thing, I'd have loved it. But they turned it into a chore, because it is just an alternate version of the main game.

As such, I recommend skipping this if you are new to Little Inferno (the base game is far better) or played it recently. This is only worth it if you haven't played the game in many years. I wish there was a middle option for Steam, not just thumbs up or thumbs down.

There were elements of the game that appealed to me. But the wandering around in and out of places that led elsewhere was confusing to keep in my head. And the battle system seemed frustratingly oblique.

The first time I tried it I played for about twenty minutes (well, mostly not interactive), then had to go and do something else. I quit. No warnings, no save option, so I assumed it was auto save. On reload, there was only a new game option. Frustrating.

I used to like it, but now when I run it, if I choose full screen, it just gives a black screen. Somehow I moved the controller and couldn't undo it. Even reinstalling the game left it in fullscreen (blank screen) mode. That makes it unplayable. Frustrating.
