I have the original Mega Mall Story on my ipad, and I beat it two times. I remember enjoying it quite a lot. This game has a bit better graphics and it appears to maybe have a bit more content to it, although I probably won't play it enough to find out. This game has turned me off on Kairosoft. My main issue with this one is that it just feels very rushed. Perhaps they did this to keep the "games must be hard and fast" gamER crowd happy. There is no way to adjust the game speed and to me it just feels frantic. There is no way to pause it so you can catch your breath and look around a bit. There is no full screen option. The UI feels unpolished. It is not a terrible game if you like staying engaged and it's just go go go the whole time. Seems like such a missed opportunity, I'm rather let down by this one.

Cool concept. Execution is not the best. It's a bit of a slog. I regret the time I spent with the game because it failed to advance me very much.

If you like games from 1985 then you'll probably like this. Seriously though it is a pretty solid little game, but it is keyboard only. WTF? That might be fine if it wasn't a mad rush and the controls were not fiddlely.

I mostly did not enjoy it. It's too RNG dependent for me.

It's alright, but nothing special. The potential is there. The main issue for me is the graphics and UI. It feels crowded, and it's rather hard to see what is going on especially as the board fills up. The stats display for the units often gets in the way of being able to see what you have selected. It doesn't have the polish it needs. Zooming in and panning the camera is not allowed. Just a static screen, but I am often feeling like stat screeens are in my way and I want to pan around. Also there are a ton of units and synergies are pretty hard to obtain and utilize. It's not terrible, but why bother with the annoyances when there are so many great games out in the world. I only recommend this to a tower defense addict who has already played everything else that's good.

I love this game. So let me tell you what this game really is. The core game in my opinion is building up settlements and trying to maximize their efficiency. There is enough variation to keep it interesting for a long time. I still have not tired of it, and at about 60 hours in.

The game is a colony sim city builder with a bit of rogue mixed in. There is a world map with a main city run by a queen and your settlements are to please her. The settlement is lost at if the queen's impatience bar gets to the end, or won when your reputation bar gets to the end. Her impatience can be delayed by fulfilling "orders" from the queen. If the settlement comes to the end and is successful experience is awarded and global effects can be unlocked. There's quite a bit to keep a person going for awhile.

During settlement building there are a bunch or random elements, but it's not enough to cause losing the game. However it is enough to force mixing up the approach keeping each game interesting. With the randomization it's basically card draws, and I'm allowed to choose one from multiple choices. I'm always finding myself trying to figure out how to maximize my points with the options I'm given. There are enough different variables that makes each game a fresh puzzle. It's fun and relaxing.

The devs seem to be quite active. They have a real gem on their hands. Here's to hoping no one drops the ball. Thank you for a great game. I'm hooked.

It's a pretty fun casual game, and losing can happen. It's not real hard though, and that's a plus for tired folks like me.

Yeah it's pretty good but it gets too hard. I would say mostly due to a lack of features to control and manage things, but by then I think I have seen about all I want to see. I put in ten hours. should have quit playing around 8 I think. So is 8 hours worth 3 bucks? I would say yeah.

It's too basic and slow to be much fun. If it wasn't grindy that would probably cure it. However as it is you have to play the same level a few times. The trouble is there isn't enough going on to make you want to play the same level. For a couple bucks it'd be okay if you love this kind of game.

It's pretty good. Right now the game turns into a bit of a slog. When you get to a place where it's clear you won the level there is still awhile to go before the level is done. Hoping they will balance that before official release. As it is though it works, but not fun for an extended amount of time.
