This was the single most emersive story-driven game I have ever experienced..and it was made by a handful of guys using RPG maker.

It's games such as this that remind us that the medium used doesn't play a major role in creating a masterpiece. Its too often that giant game companies spend millions making a title that looks and feels great, only to fall short on story and character development.

This tiny little game made me fall in love with the characters from the very beginning and cry like a 4 year old girl towards the end. I can honestly say that no game, movie, book or show has ever done that to me.

Well done Sirs! (and Ma'ams)

Just like what people are saying in the reviews below, spot on.

Like many others, I fell in love with the trailers and the promise to explore an entire universe...in which they did deliver on, but whats the point if the entire universe is repetative and boring? seriously, there is nothing to do!!! mine, fill up your inventory " There are no slots left in your inventory". If I hear that one more time I may have to go see a shrink! Ok, maybe ill go to another planet...hey look, aliens that recycle the same horrible animation as every other alien in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ universe! But wait, at least ill get a reward after solving the same damn puzzle I did on that last planet....hey i got a blueprint...oh wait, I already own it... just like what happened with the 40 other rewards I got from solving the same boring puzzles. Alright, ill go up into space and shoot some starships and maybe get some useful elements from them...STARSHIP INVENTORY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FULL!

It's as if they ran out of time, and had to settle with 1/8 of the content they were actually planning to release with. And if that's the case, dont charge $60 for a game that's worth $10!

*Update: All the updates patches convinced me to change my review to recomended. It's nice to see the developers care enough to add all these features free of charge.

When you put in 1000+ hours into a title, it must be good right? ;D One of the most original and challenging combat systems of any game. I find myself going back to it year after year...there is nothing more satisfying than charging your enemy by suprise, then landing that killing blow which takes off your opponens head! This game is not easy by all means, so the people that still remain are pretty badass....which of course makes it even more of a challenge for pvp. ♥♥♥♥ talking and all, you will get slaughtered with no mercy as new lvl 80...I can almost guarantee that xD AOC has been around for ages, yet the still manage to update it with new content from time to time. Unfotunatley Funcom charges a decent amount of money for new content that is made up of reused assets and quests. They really do find away to empty your pockets, as they make special items in the store very appealing...especially to players who are just starting out.

Ok so Maya LT wouldn't let me reference any files...which makes it unusable to me since every one of my files has models referenced to it. Also, since most of my files were created using the student version, that annoying message pops up when saving and opening a file. It also states since the original file was created using the student version, it is illegal to use the file for any type of profit, regadless of the fact that I am paying for Maya LT every month...which means I would have to start from scratch! no thank you, refund please :D

Early Access Review
This game has gone a long way since I first played it a few months ago. Granted, it still has its bugs and issues, but that's understandable for an early access prototype. Combat is fun to say the least...It took me a while to get used to all the controls, but once I got the hang of things, I managed to get through those levels pretty efficiently. You are punished when trying to blast through enemies, which makes the game challenging and encourages you to use your stealth abilities to complete a mission. Unfortunatley its lacking a cover system, crawling through vents and any type of reward system. I find myself wondering if I even completed a mission as there is no indication of whether or not you completed it. However, I was informed that some of those issues would be addressed in coming updates. You can't enter the arena level at this point, so im hoping that will be added in future updates too! I would like to see those different enemy types in the encounters room implemented into each vr mission as well..and maybe the arena? wink wink ;D I'm a big supporter of indie games that strive to create something as ambitious as this game...so ill be keeping an eye out and playing through each update as this game moves forward in development. I see a lot of potential here, and im excited to see what improvements are made in the coming months.
