No game in recent memory has made me not want to play it as much as this. It all appears as the product of a few weeks' work in RPG Maker, and is a constant snore-fest of walking around and talking to people without actually getting anywhere.

I can't believe a soundtrack with only one song can sound this good. Also, making the process of operating your firearm entirely manual does a lot for immersion and thrill, making it that much more important to ensure you're prepared before proceeding. Has some optimization issues, but from what I understand, that's pretty unavoidable with the Unity platform that this game uses.

The whole thing looks like something that would get published in one of those WildTangent game packages that always get shoveled onto new installations of Windows on computers produced by large manufacturers. Also, Shuggy has more inertia than a freight train, and this makes all the levels extremely hard.

No game has made me feel more like Charles Bronson's character Paul Kersey than Hotline Miami. A bright-coloured, but still gritty atmosphere sets the scene, with plenty of the story left open to the player's interpretation. Would recommend.

As far as I know, it's the only game on Steam that's ever been sold for $0.59. Get it while it's hot.

You can do anything.
And yes, I mean anything.
But if you just want to screw about in Sledbuild or Trouble in Terrorist Town, that's fine by me.

You ever play your favourite installment in the Grand Theft Auto series and think to yourself, "Man, this is such a great game, but I would really like to be able to infiltrate the territory of a gang that looks like Mexican wrestlers by wearing them down with missiles fired from UAV drones, then coming over to them and finishing them off with my phallic baseball bat, and finally, riding off in my cat-shaped car inspired by a Japanese game show, fending off any attackers from said gang with its mounted cannon that uses people you've run over as ammunition - all while dressed as a hot dog?"

Probably not, but you'll like this game anyway.

Come for the Garry's Mod compatibility, stay because it turns out there's a lot less prepubescents on this game's Jailbreak servers.

(JK, Waffles, don't get upset)

Strategy, puzzle-solving and so on in games is good, but sometimes you just want to feel like John Rambo, and that's what the Modern Warfare series is good for. Plot magic is quite visible here, but when you just want to blast your way through everything, who cares?
