Where do we start? I just have too much to say this is gonna be one of those TLDR review. It's a love/hate relationship with Lost Ark.

Pros :
- game is free to play, one of the best F2P MMO out there
- loads of content to do, vertical progressions feels good (unlocking achievements/tome/cards to get more skill+stat points/ which is shared amongst your characters
- community manager in forums is very active and engaging props to them
- some zones looks really good, considering this game is on Unreal Engine 3
- some dungeons are design really well especially Phantom Palace
- game gives out alot of free cosmetics, currencies and consumables via login rewards/twitch prime/events
- Stronghold/Housing system is quite nice and very rewarding if you put in the investment
- you can't Pay to Win in PvP its all skills and cooldown management
- Matchmaking/Auction is region bound, queue times are good due to this as well as finding sellers/buyers on the auction
- Rest bonus system, if you miss a day of playing don't worry, you get a rest bonus for the next day and you get double rewards
- Some of the island quest has the best story and experience, *cutting onions* Starlight Isle and that secret long chain quest to get into the developers room
- Failing enchanting/honing doesn't break your weapon/armour as well as your sanity
- Game actually provides the Korean voice pack, let's be honest some of the side NPC's does not have a very good voice over in English

Cons :
- guild system is trash, it's not bound to your account it's by character, hence guild is useless in terms of community unless you're in a discord community
- some AoE attacks of bosses are the same/similar color as your spell/environment, hard to dodge sometimes
- game does not teach mechanics properly (stagger checks/counters) yes I know theres a ''practice room'' that teaches you those mechanic but lets be honest, your average Andy wouldn't sit through that
- they introduce battle pass system/other monetary system before fixing the botting issue (crashing market prices) its kind of hard to earn gold at the moment (they also remove some gold rewards from rapport due to bots farming them)
- get ready to grind doing dailies on multiple toons if you want to be efficient
- matchmaking kinda sucks especially when players don't learn mechanics or use battlepotions (dying and wasting ress = wasting precious time as you have other toons to grind)
- Censorship e.g revealing cosmetics, the game release with one of the gunslinger cosmetic which in Korea you have 2 options : revealing and less revealing. AGS version we got the less revealing one, I'm worried about this as in Korea most of the skin are made by their community and implemented into the game, I don't see AGS putting these skins in our version of Lost Ark
- Story/Lore : not the best out there, also it wasn't told very well, had to watch youtube videos to actually get into the lore
- Burnout : the constant need to play so many alts to be efficient as a F2P/Casual
- some dailies/events are time gated/spawn time
- Cosmetics are bound to 1 character and also they take too much space in inventory
- game is free so some players are quite toxic as they don't need to care about their reputation
- sometimes during fights the game give you tips on mechanics/fight but they only appear for 3-5seconds you don't have the time to read it that fast while dodging mechanics
- honing system is not that forgiving at T3 with 5-10% success rates
- Cube takes too long and it's boring

Conclusion :
I started out on the 3days early access from the founders pack, have sunk 500+hours in and had alot of fun, launch was such an amazing experience it actually took me back to the first time I booted WoW. Currently I'm burnout from playing multiple characters doing the same dailies on x7 characters everyday. The botting issue/RMT also deters me to invest more time in the game.

In my opinion Lost Ark is not PaytoWin but more on the side of PayToProgress quicker, as one of the Korean streamers said, its like you're stopping at the Redlight, the Whales are driving a Lamborghini and you're on your Toyota, the Lambo is gonna move faster but in the end we will meet again at the next red light stop (e.g Waiting for the next content update) I wish that if they wanted to monetise the game they should've just focus more on the cosmetics, there are so much amazing skins made by their community in Korea Lost Ark.

Did Diablo 3 take your lunch money and stomped on your childhood? Then you should give this game a try since its free, they have a cash shop but its mainly for cosmetics and stash tabs (no pay to win). The graphics are quite good considering that Diablo 3 was developed by a AAA company but delivers Hello Kitty Island Adventures graphic with a linear character customisation a 1year old can design with his pack of crayons.

This game was developed by a team of Kiwi's with Kickstarted funds, voice acting are nice as I can relate due to the accent. Game is quite a big learning curve as they dont use the normal currency that other games used.

The amount of toxicity is more deadly than all the poisonous creatures you can find in Australia. If you could look past the toxicity, the game is pretty good. Not saying everyone is a troll but there are helpful players out there who give a helping hand to new players like me.

Did Diablo 3 took your lunch money and stomped on your childhood memories?

Look no further. This ARPG is the best I had played since old school Diablo 2. No Hello Kitty Island Adventures graphics (Diablo 3/Torchlight) but with a darker and serious yet unique gore art direction. I can't deal with cartoonish graphic that Blizzard seems to go for.

Moreover you can customise your character build as much as you want and not limited to Blizzards skill system that a 1year can design. The dual class as well as old school of skill and stat points are found in Grim Dawn. They further expand the customisation with Devotion points which you have to unlock and you can level the devotion skills and assign them to your minions or skill too!

Did I just mention minions? The minions in Grim Dawn are actually useful unlike Diablo 3's minion which seems to serve aesthetic purposes only since they just tear like paper.

Crafting system is quite simple yet purposeful (you can use your materials for crafting or imbued it into your gear) and I love that they gave you a lot of inventory space to hoard your loots. Character progression never seem to miss the mark. Even if you finish 'Normal' difficulty, there are other devotion skill points to be unlock on other difficulty modes. The amount of tender loving effects put into the game is amazing, I might have epilepsy with all the things going on sometime during a big fight.

Most ARPG seems to have the bread but missing the nutella topping, Grim Dawn delivers both. Definitely a well made game and you should give it a try.

Early Access Review
Matt Damon Simulator 2016.

Journal :
Play as Matt Damon ☑
Fix crack on your helmet with duct tape ☑
Grow your food in space ☑
Starship Troopers starring Matt Damon ☑
Pitch Black starring Matt Damon ☑
The Martian starring Matt Damon ☑
Interstellar starring Matt Damon ☑

A good tutorial for this game would be watching The Martian at least 2 times before attempting to play the game. Game is still in Early Access so expect a few bugs, just roleplay as Matt Damon already, if you don't like it kindly get yourself a refund and purchase a copy of One Man's Lie (only then will you know what its like to have cancer in your steam library)

10/10 would Matt Damon.

Serious Review Below (due to Steam's new review policy - might need to do a review on steam reviews, total numbers of helpful not accurate on most reviews, buggy with content missing just like One Man's Lie)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Reader's Disclaimer* - This review was heavily inspired from the writer's relationship with One Man's Lie.

First time launching the game, I had an accidental eargasm while spazzing uncontrollably on my chair waiting for the music to finish me off. The music feels like its been written by Hans Zimmer himself. (Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Inception) Just the sheer epicness of the music puts me in the immersion of an epic space theme game.

The art, sound and level design is amazing, they just harmonise so well together. I never had an immersive experience as this compared to other crafting survival genre games (7DTD, Ark,Terraria, Starbound, DayZ) The easy mode of day time vs paranoia and horror during the night (random noises) keeps your eye peeled for any Arachnid Night Walkers. Night time is REALLY dark. Think of aliens from Dead Space/Pitch Black coming for you.

Take in mind Osiris was developed by a team of two, still a better release than a game which cost the same as a AAA title and had a major distributor backing their release which I should refrain from naming. In terms of content, its not too shabby for an Early Access. Can't compare the amount of content with other EA releases (Ark, Subnautica) as this game was just released recently whereas the others have a head start of a few years give or take.

One of the interviews with the dev did mentioned that they will have major updates every month. Also the devs did mention they might aim for a console port in the future. (hopefully this does not hamper on the patches and updates for PC) Yes developers need money to continue developing the game but really, consoles are limited by their sandwich press hardware.

No idea why people keep comparing this game to Ark. In Osiris New Dawn you don't poop your pants every 5minutes ingame however Osiris took it up a notch further with immersion as you will poop your pants (in real life) when an unsuspecting alien creeps behind you.

The only time I felt threaten is when the night crawlers come. The giant sandworm (only appears in craters) are easily dodgeable just like One Man's Lie fanboys dodging facts about its failure as well as Ark fanboys dodging constructive criticism on the dev team's approach of a paid DLC on an EA game.

I hope that the devs maybe somehow explore the possibility of having burrowed aliens (not the giant sandworm) as I think it will create a sense that the player is never safe and in turn increase the daytime difficulty slightly. Imagine minding your own business taking a stroll on the planet and something grabs you from below. (Tremors anyone?)

Singleplayer works like a charm and I did try multiplayer (private host) for a bit and there were some bugs (not game breaking but funny) such as getting stuck on buildings, ground clipping through into buildings, aliens moonwalking (not latency issue).

Look I am not trying to create a train hype, just watch some youtube videos or even purchase the game (if you don't like it get a refund - make sure its not more than 2hours of gameplay and within 14days of purchase) - We all know what happen to the last hype train, didn't go too well did it?

PS : Matt Damon over One Man's Lie. (Think someone might have spike my drink which leads to poor decision making in purchasing One Man's Lie)
*Will update this with further comedic and serious review once I figured how to potato on Mars*
