Sometimes you hear things in the white space. Your brain filling in the gaps.
The sound is like that sound, the sound your brain makes, only without the static.
It's not very loud, but it's really noticeable. Rudimentary, an almost imperceptible sentience. A flash along the edge of the void of the mind.

White noise.
