i enjoyed this when it first came out and finished all the maps. Really loved the originality of the game.

Just recently I purchased the DLC packs. The first map I played was completely frustrating - just horrible. I used the winch more than the trucks. Getting through mud and pathfinding was never easy but this was torture. I decided to go back to the base maps to try them again but found that they were equally frustrating. I dont know if the dynamics of the game have been changed or what but I eventually gave up. Life is too short.

I completely love this game. Playing with trains and buses; setting up lines; moving goods and people; dealing with terrain; close ups of my vehicles in action so I can follow their progress...its like owning the train set I never had as a kid.

Did I say I love this game?

This game is pure genius. Mud. And machinery. And mud. It is the equation that best describes hours of happy messing in fields and forests and bogs.

And the graphics - I just love the graphics. I love the detail (watch that suspension bounce....). And they added a cockpit view from the original (nothing earthshattering but its a cockpit view!

They added some new vehicles (Russian and non-Russian from what I can tell) but I remain mesmerised by the flying mud.

I want more of this. Please.

I totatally love FS and have spent more hours in it than I care to think about.

If there was an "unsure" button to click when recommending games, this is the one I would use for FS2019. Seeing as there isn't, I am going to go with "Not Recommended".

I have played for a few hours now, and to be honest I am a little underwhelmed. The graphics may be slightly better, and the machinery more varied, but I am struggling to really find anything new that can really justify a whole new game with a fairly hefty price tag.

The game mechanics seem to have stayed fairly much the same as have the physics. The graphics and HUD may have had a slight improvement maybe but nothing earthshattering. Yeah, they added "Horses" and "Weeding" but nothing with the potential to blow my socks off.

I was hoping for a larger improvement on the previous titles. Mud? (thinking Spintires here). Greater weather dynamics (snow or ice?). Different terrain (marshland?). Different aspects to the agricultural industry (reclaiming boggy land, use of excavators to install drains, buying heavier lifting equipment to build sheds?) Some of these things do actually exist in the world of farming.

I know I expected too much - although I would have been happy with just a little bit more. Sorry Giants - I have loved your work up until now.

For newcomers, I recommend this game, and FS diehards will buy it anyway (I did!). But if you owned FS17 and aren't sure where to invest your hard-earned cash, maybe leave this one to the side for now.

Haven't had this much fun in a shooter for ages. Looks and sounds visceral - especially when you get the chance to rip a heavy bolter off it's mounting and open up on a mob of orks. Doesn't take huge amounts of brain power and is a great way of just emptying the mind after a long day. The best thing for me was that it really captures the feeling of the 40K genre - in some ways it actually enchances it. Makes me want to buy a squad of Ultramarines just to paint them up. I won't though.

There was an obvious amount of effort put into this, and it offers a few hours of fun, but it ultimately gets stale. The physics do not always feel right, and the lack of customisable controls are annoying. I think it is a real pity that the devs decided not to take Construction Simulator 15, improve it, and incorporate some of the clever features that they have put into this game, such as the lifting guidance indicator, the levelling system, and helper assist.

It looks and plays like an app and if this is what you are into then go for it. If you are looking in hope for an advance on Construction Sim 15, unfortunatly this is not it.

So, I managed to grow a town to about 500 citizens, plenty of clothing, stone houses and every fruit and vegetable seed known to mankind. With 40,000 units of food in stock - along with churches, graveyards, schools, and everything else that a budding settlement needs - I was sure it was only a matter of time until I covered the map. Then I ran low on tool stock.

Lack of tools meant people weren't gathering food quickly enough, and initiated a spiral of doom that lasted for about 20 years. I have to say I breathed a sigh of relief when the last citizen starved to death because he was too stupid to pick an apple from the 300 odd orchard trees dotted around the map.

This is a hardcore survival game and looks and plays really well. I can understand why so many people love it, and I have therefore recommended it. But be warned - the mechanics of the game are very finely tuned and mistakes are punished without mercy.

I get headaches just thinking about it.

This game looks, plays and feels more like a mobile app.

Or to put it simply, crap.
