Sabaton - Carolus Rex

WELCOME SABATON LOVERS!!!

Power Metal Band from Falun, Sweden formed in 1999. Sabaton won all 3 categories they were nominated in at Bandit Rock Awards 2013! - Best Swedish Album - Best Swedish Live Act - Best Swedish Group/ Artist. The band's main lyrical themes are those of historical wars. This is heard in albums Primo Victoria, Attero Dominatus and Coat of Arms where all of the songs, except final tracks, take inspiration from historical battles or war. Lyrical content drawn from World War II and World War I is prevalent and includes songs about battles and leaders on all sides of these conflicts.

A new album has been confirmed. The album will be about the Swedish Empire and the Swedish King Charles XII and his success in the Great Northern War 1700-1721, for the first time ever we had an expert to help us with the theme, the renowned Swedish historian Bengt Liljegren.

We have also added some extra time in the studio to find the absolute right sound on CAROLUS REX, and our producer Peter Tägtgren says that this album will mark a brand new standard for how a heavy metal album should sound like!

CAROLUS REX comes out in May and then Sabaton has a 2 year long world tour to look forward to!
