Single-player achievements are now broken.

Even though the server shutdown was announced ahead of time, they didn't disclose that "online features" also happened to include offline single-player achievements, which I think is really dishonest consumer practice.

This is especially unfair to those who just bought this game during the sale last month to get the online achievements before the shutdown, only to find that now the whole thing is broken.

I just can't recommend this game enough... It's just so well designed and crafted that even when you don't like RPGs or JRPGs you will like this game a lot.

I ended up playing this game as a promise to my brother (this is one of his favourite games of all time) because he was helping me with some coop achievements in different games. I postponed playing this game for like 3 or 4 years and I'm sad that I did. Now when I finished the game I know why he liked it so much. The story and the characters are really well written. When you start playing, you think that you're just a player in a MMO game (yes, this game is about playing MMO :P) and the deeper you go, you unfold a mystery and it's very interesting. I love the interactions between the main character and the side characters, sometimes they are cute and on other occasions you can feel the sadness that's caused by the events of the game.

Game contains a lot of quests - some of them are just simple fetch quests but others have a really deep story and are references to pop culture or other games. It's really fun to complete them when you get those references.

The world is very diverse, you have your classic "bioms" - meadows, ice mountains, desert (with corresponding cities) but there are "less" popular areas - but I won't spoil the game to you. Every location contains a dungeon that you have to finish to go further in the story. The dungeons are the best part of the game for me - they contain puzzles that are really clever. Sometimes I had to stay in one room for more than few minutes and scratch my head a few times. But when you finally get that puzzle to work it's the best feeling ever. Every dungeon is based around different mechanics, so you don't get bored.

I finished the game in around 60 hours and then bought the DLC that adds another location with a new dungeon with a new mechanic. Those puzzles were even harder than in the standalone game. I haven't finished the DLC yet (but I'm really close to it), but if you played the base game - I really reccomend getting the DLC as it tells even more story.

This game reminds me so much of Scribblenauts!

TOEM (just like Scribblenauts) is a cute point & click/puzzle game. In Scribblenauts you solved puzzles with your trusty magic notebook that could spawn whatever you wrote. Here you solve puzzles by taking clever pictures with your camera. In this game though you start a journey to see a mysterious TOEM and take a picture of it. What on earth is TOEM? You will have to find out on your own :). On the way you help people in different perils. People give you stamps for your trouble, and with those stamps you can travel to other locations.

Puzzles in this game are quite easy but there were a few that I really had to scratch my head and think outside the box. The difficulty level is just right for this game I think, it makes the game long enough to still have fun with it (unless like in Scribblenauts, there were so many side quests that I was losing interest in that game).

Graphically this game is beautiful. It only uses black and white colours and all objects look like they were drew by hand. With amazing graphics also comes great sound design. When you play this game you just feel so cozy, everything sounds so cute (it feels like one of the devs used his mouth to create those sounds - just like in Hidden Folks game). BTW. Those games feel really similar because of the art style and sound effects.

Once again - I really recommend this game to everyone. It's fun and easy but still gives enough challenge to not be just a walk in a park.

Cool concept for a co-op game but executed poorly. You step into workers' shoes and your job is to renovate houses and even gardens (if you buy DLCs of course). The idea is really fun but there's not enough interactions in the game. At the beginning of the level you find a blueprint that shows you what to do in the level. You can paint and wallpaper walls, lay floors and put down furniture in specific places. Before all of that you have to clean the rooms of old wallpapers and floors. And yes, that's all. Later on (like in many games of that type) there'll be some enemies that will ruin your work. Your standard Overcooked clone stuff.

The levels become boring really fast. I recall some weird levels that had a few blueprints and only one of them was correct. The rest was just to fool you. I didn't like the part when I had to guess which one is correct. Basically this game isn't as fun as Overcooked or Moving Out (which is one of my favourite co-op games).

Important thing is that the developers completety abandoned this game. There is one broken achievement (I got it because I downloaded an older depot of the game and DLC) called "Movin' In". I contacted the developers at least 3 or 4 times in the within the last year (!!!) and I was told everytime that they are working on it and soon there'll be a patch to fix it. As you can guess, there was no such thing.

I pity that there is no "neutral" review option. So a negative one will have to do.

When i first saw this game on Steam feed it immediately caught my attention (I have a soft spot for pixel art games :P). I decided to try it and I am really happy that I did. This game is so polished and fun to play, I really really hope that the developer will continue to work on it and will publish the full game!

The later levels are a bit hard when playing for the first time but after a few tries I could get all medals in them. The difficulty of this game is just right. My only complaint about this game is that it's definitely too short :P

Also, there's a big boob statue that sells you guns.

I promised that after the developers fix one of the worst bugs in the game (that completely crashed the game) I will edit the review. So, that moment happened a few days ago so I keep my word.

I love Batman, DC Universe and I really like the protagonists of this game (especially Nightwing and Red Hood). When I first heard that this game is being developed I was over the moon, I wanted to go back to Gotham and fight crime. When it was announced that this game will share some mechanics with Marvel's Avengers, it cooled down my enthusiasm a bit but I still wanted to play it. And now, the game came out aaaand it's pretty good. It has its flaws but overall I can give a positive review.

So yeah, Batman is dead and we're stuck with Bat family (well, not literall). Story-wise I can't say anything wrong. The story is centered around The Court of Owls. I really like it because it's a lesser known story from Batman world (outside of comics you could only see it in a few episodes of Gotham - it wasn't even in any Batman movie). You can also like the characters. At first they pissed me off a bit because they were arguing all the time but as time went by they started to make a better and better team. Batman Arkham series also had a lot of side quests with many of comics villains. Remember that Arkham Knight had like 15 different villains with well thought side quests? This game has three. Yes, three villains (except the main story ones) - Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze and Clayface. Maybe they will add some side quests with different villains later (as a free update or a DLC).

Gameplay-wise it's very different from past 'entries'. Combat is focused on dodging now (without any counters) and you don't have combos like you had earlier. Instead you have special abilities (every character has a different set that you have to unlock) with cooldowns and stuff. It's like someone has seen Arkham Knight's combat and tried to copy it here but the video was very low quality, without sound and in Chinese. Oh and he also was blindfolded. Developers didn't put Riddler into the game so there are no quality collectibles. Instead we have to find Batarangs scattered around Gotham and pages of a book about The Court of Owls (this gives a lot of backstory so it's worth collecting).
You can choose 4 characters and they differ a bit. For example Red Hood can shoot his guns and is brutal, Robin is a master at sneaking, Bat-Girl is a great hacker and Nightwing is great at acrobatics. I will tell you right away, hacking doesn't matter, I used it once in 20+ hours of playing (hacking let's you turn off a camera by holding A for a few seconds. You can achieve the same thing by shooting it). Later you unlock Knighthood abilities that let you travel faster, every character has a different ability, so that's fun.
Oh, and you have a bike. It's the worst bike riding I've ever seen. You move like 20km/h and there are a lot of effects on the side of the screen that are supposed to look that you move super fast. And you don't.

Gotham is beautiful (if you can say that about that city :P). It's bigger than in Arkham series. However the city is filled with weak-ass crimes that are generated every night. In Arkham series those 'activities' were better. Here, they fell dull. All of them are really similar to each other (even though there is a huge amount of them) and you get bored really quickly.

I can't say anything about Co-Op because I'm playing solo - I turned off the feature so players can't join me.

So, overall it's a good game. Wouldn't say that it's something groundbreaking but for me it's a fine new addition to Arkham series.

I very rarely review games, I do it only on special occasions (like when the game is totally unplayable or I just love it). This is the second case. It's just so satisfying to sit down and play a round or two of Vampire Survivors after a tough day in school or at work. The developer still adds new characters, weapon, staged and achievements. Hell, there's even story mode to be added later! It's really important to show developers that we love games that they make. What is even more important - the developer actually listens to players (yes, I'm looking at you all NFTs devs who want a quick and easy cashgrab). At first I thought it's just another one of those meme games that are promoted by some Youtube channels. I couldn't be more wrong.

It's my first game I bought in Early Access and I'm not disappointed. Can't wait to see what becomes of it later!

NOTE: The developer stated that the game will be more expensive later, so you can buy it now for dirt cheap and still support his work.

Ben 10 is a game tied to Ben 10 license (no surprise). It's a really simple and basic beat em' up with a few platforming sections.
There are 10 aliens you can choose from. At the beginning it feels like that gives a pretty wide variety, however you really fast discover
that all the aliens are basically the same. The only difference there is, is that you can attack from a distance or in melee range.
They all have nearly the same damage (with the exeception of Heatblast - there is a glitch that makes his damage like 20 times higher than others, you can one shot bosses with him).

The developers use a phrase 'solve puzzles with each alien’s unique abilities' in the game's description. So I will set it straight - there isn't a single puzzle in the game. There are only places where you have to use a certain alien to pass (for example there's a gate that
only Four-Arms can break or a jump pad that only Overflow can jump from).
This isn't a 'puzzle', this is just something to slow you down for 2 seconds.

Graphically this game isn't TOO BAD. It's just OK. The gameplay is just incredibly glitchy. There are times where your hits don't register,
sometimes you get hit even though your hitbox doesn't touch the enemy's attack. Double jumps are wonky, the mid-air jump feels really weird
and doesn't even give you that much height. There are many spots that you can fall through the map (even in the first level - I have a recording of that happening, you can see it on my Steam profile).

Now for the price - this game costs 15€. 15€ for a game that consists of 6 (yes SIX) levels and you can beat it in under 2 hours. Man, we're getting back to the era when games on popular licenses were shockingly bad and not worth buying. This is what this game feels like - a quick cash grab.

NOTE:
For all achievment hunters out there: The publishers removed the broken achievement! The game is now possible to 100%!

TL;DR: Don't buy this game.

I've beat this game before on Android (it's a free game in Google Play Store) and I was really surprised how fun it is despite the fact it's a really simple platformer. I've bought this game on Steam to support the developer and show him that I've enjoyed those games on my phone.

It's a really simple platformer where you rescue your babies. Some of the levels were pretty hard with touch controls but with the gamepad on Steam I didn't have any problems when jumping or dodging so the dev made the controls really great! You can get a hidden star in all levels (except boss levels) and some of them are really fun to search for (however, most of them are way too easy).

I didn't like the addition of autoscroller levels where you ride the burger though. The jumps are really precise there and it's pretty hard to do it (I had no problems on pc however on my phone I struggled a lot with those levels).

Definitely a buy!
