If you ever find yourself lost in the vastness of wilderness with nothing but the map and a compass, you don't need conspiracies, you don't need monsters that pop out of nowhere, you don't need cheap light tricks to feel terrified.

If you understand what I am saying, this might be the game for you.

On the other hand, if you are more into Hollywood "rewarding" type of horror, with "Stars" and "Achievements", or if you expect more "action", do not even try. You will not like it. Gameplay is slow and scenery seems uneventful.

Yet...

24 hours after I completed the game, the cold Ural wind is still echoing to my ears. Bare snow covered trees will never look the same to me. I have allowed myself to be immersed into the atmosphere. I have allowed myself to feel the story and it worked - we "zinged". I like it. I like the way it is told. Sean Bean's voice adds clever and minimalistic touch but I would like it even without a word being said by anyone. Deeply inside, the story is Lovecraftian and it strongly resembles Penumbra, but it is more natural.

Try it - if you dare.

Not some hypster thing; not "Flappy bird", not "Angry Birds", but the serous game of epic proportions.

This is the best game I have played in some time. It is short but complete experience. Very intelligent, very original. Bravo.
