Stronghold Crusader 2 isn't a worthy sequel to the orginial Stronghold Crusader. If you buy it because you expect it to be as good as crusader 1 you might be disappointed. However, if you treat it as an independent castle sim, it's a decent game. The game has some performance issues and the AI tends to ignore your commands and just randomly walk around to attack peasants instead of buildings.. those are the 2 main issues which really bother me. Other than that, the game itself is quite enjoyable. The skirmish trail has less missions than the crusade but the battles feel harder in my personal opinion. Due to the difficulty, missions usually take more time and it makes up for the minor content. Multiplayer matches with friends vs. bots are also a lot more enjoyable. Crusaders main issue was, that the bots couldn't really deal with multiplayer maps and didn't do anything.. Stronghold Crusader 2 fixed (at least) that.

Short version: If you buy the game because you loved Stronghold Crusader and have high expectations... wait for a sale. If you want a decent castle sim it's worth the money though.
