1 Step forward, 3 Steps backward from its predecessors.

+ Better graphics as compared to ALB/EE.
+ Single player campaigns are well designed.

- Game has not reach a proper balance since beta, what I've received is a shame. There is absolutely no point in putting more units/nations/naval into the game when they do not improve the gameplay.
- Lack of co-op campaign.
- Auto-matchmaking is garbage, there is no point for casual RTS players to play more than 48hrs on this game if they do not have other friends to play with. Pub-stomp is the norm.

Lack of focus is the problem with this title. It simply becomes no fun.

Just a fair comment. The balance in terms of units is always being worked upon. There is never a update without some kind of rebalancing of certain units. They can add as many units as they want, but just keep inmind that balanceing takes about a month to say they are balanced (Therefor, not a negative, just a statement of reality). I do agree with the lack of Co-op in campaign and the auto-matchmaking.

Is this still the case?

Matchmaking is very broken, the matches are all the same, 4v4's with one side being comprised of veterans using teamspeak, the other is filled with noobs, sub par players, and people who just bought the game. Pub stomping has become ridiculous.

that was 2 steps forward, 3 steps back. But I see your point

You do bring uo good points i don't deny that in my opinion you are right in most cases but even on 10v10s Navy spam is difficult to do becuase it's point heavy and if everyone does it no one will gain points and the game will be pretty boring. Also if you hate spam try to play tactical where each player is limited to around 200-400 points

Naval is only there as a unit option when you can't use land units, and typically naval units are stronger than land units.

Playing naval stops air spam. What stops naval spam? Red Dragon is unable to execute assymetrical warfare in a polished way, anybody who is not part of a pub-stomp gang will get stomped. I expect the devs to take the lessons from EE/ALB and apply to RD.

And yet, they made many deck changes from ALB that forces you as a player to choose ONLY certain units (i.e. spec ops) over other alternatives, and so many constraints when playing as some of the smaller coalition as compared to playing NATO/PACT with no visible Pros.

Ruse, EE and ALB has alot of things go for it, aside from the stagnant games in ALB. Red Dragon was not really well designed from the start, at least for multiplayer.

10v10 are brilliant for all players and Naval if anything balances the gameplay becuase it stops people air spamming sectors from the side.

Naval units greatly enhance gameplay with new strategic options, game seems balanced (you need to know what to counter what).
