You can really create anything with this. Everyone says you can do that with Minecraft. But with this, you're not confined to certain size squares. So, in the creation department, this beats Minecraft. Really a great game, as you can mod it so much, and so easily with the new Addon features in GMOD 13
Absolutely amazing game. The cartoony graphics, comedy weapons and diverse classes really make this game stick out from the mainstream FPS's. I'd let a 5 year old play this game, despite the gore. And nearly every time I play it, it changes. But best of all, Valve listens to the community. A lot of the Workshop creations have been added to this game. And don't get me started on the hats!
