Som jag ser det är detta den bästa F1 simulatorn för närvarande, speciellt nu med VR-alternativet realiserat. (Jag önskar bara möjligheten höja skärpan förbättrades då nyare grafikkort kommer ibland).

Amazing that after so long time finally this sim is coming to it´s maturity!
Apart from sim-quality what I also seek is 3D. Not the VR-balony but Asus/Nvidias 3D wich transforms a correctly made game/sim into Exellent 3D.

I was directly addicted to 3D when I first tested it over 6 years ago. It is the Asus 120Hz 3D LCD. Of course, a few years later I also had to buy the VR HTC Vive. To me the VR HTC Vive was a big dissapointment compared to the Asus 120Hz 3D LCD system. Why? The VR HTC Vive dont support SLI + has very bad peripheral visual quality. The opposite is true for the Asus 120Hz 3D LCD system! Since I have BOTH Asus 120Hz 3D and VR HTC Vive, I want to express MY oppinion to anyone thinking on getting VR. Another serious drawback with VR google is that after an hour or so one gets a pressing pain in the face because of the rubber bands that strip the googles to your face. One hour, then I at least have to stop using it. Want 3D? Dont think VR! Get Asus 120 3D LCD!! This have Exellent peripheral visual quality wich VR HTC Vive still lacks. Asus 120 3D LCD have EXELLENT 3D. A 27 inch LCD screen to maybe HALF the price you get a VR-system. (frankly, I dont understand why it is so unknown compared to VR. Also, it works with so many more games/simulators, (over 600:). As long as the program you want to run in 3D is mathematically correctly done and the most common graphic-engine is used by the program, it just WORKS!).

So here we finally are with Oleg Maddox´s IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs over Dover that has become a Blitz Edition! Guess what? It works almost PERFECTLY with Asus 120 3D LCD! JUST the shadows are double, (VERY disturbing unfixed) but if good old Oleg is still around I guess that problem very soon will be fixed!
And when Nvidia is contacted and IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs over Dover Blitz Edition is added to Nvidias list of exellent 3D´s, this sim will see a multifold selling increase!

F1 2010-2017, I have bought them all. Happy when program bugs was adressed and fixed, frustrated when not.
Wether it was exellent response from Codemasters or some small changes I did is for me unimportant. The thing is that NOW my F1 2017 dont start in 3D Vision mode, (wich in Nvidia´s rating is not recommend for F1 2017). My F1 2017 now starts in 3D compatibility mode, (rated by Nvida as exellent).
Result: Exellent! Just EXELLENT 3D now!
The F1 2017 has become a very enjoyable simulator to drive. A good driving feeling in the car, AI-cars behave much more professional in F1 2017 + have the possibility adjusting AI-strength much better. IR-tracker support is finally reintroduced after having been dropped for a year in F1 2016.

Some hardcore "drivers" express opinions that F1 2017 lacks driving realism. Like most, I have never tested F1 in real life but other sim´s like iRacing, RaceRoomExperience, Asseto Corsa+ more. I can´t say there is a noticeably difference at all! One thing though. None of the mentioned sims´s above have changable weather. F1 2017 have it! An absolutely AWESOME feature wich I beleve F1 2017 is alone having. This in combination with F1´s career mode makes for an unbeatable simulator so far!
You wont be dissapointed is my guess, rather quite the opposite!

F1 2010-2013 had IR-tracker. (Shadow displacement in Asus 3D Vision was slowly fixed).
F1 2014, had IR-tracker and exellent 3D!
F1 2015, dropped IR-tracker but STILL fixed all 3D problems quite soon.
F1 2016, no IR-tracker but its actually not a big deal with the other views that is possible.
What is unpleant to a player with Asus 3D is that the shadow-displacement is not yet fixed like it was in all previous versions.
From 2010 and onwards, the GREAT Codemasters have slowly but consistantly fixed these bugs.
I think quite a lot of users LOVE the greatness of playing 3D ! Therefore I beg...if you dont want spend more time updating F1 2016, at least PLEASE make available an option to disconnect shadows fully, witch would easily solve the 3D problem of seeing double shadows.

Codemasters F1-gene has what NO other rivals has, changable WEATHER !!! And ALL raindrops and sprey is graphicly modeled SO real and perfectly in 3D !!!
Again, please make this easy correction so F1 2016 can be enjoied by me and other 3D users!

Well, now I have tested a lot of graphic settings and found out that this F1 2015 is ALMOST a perfect car simulator. If it is compared with iracing or Racing Room Experience and for instance DTM, I would say it is almost in there lege.

F1 2015 has at last fixed the Force Feedback so the wheel-strength can be adjusted. It cant be compared with RRE´s DTM, wich for years have had such an exellent force feedback.

F1 2015 has also FINALLY fixed so the zoom can be adjusted. That is a thing I for years have longed for. Thank You for that also, Codemasters of F1 2015!

Finally I come to what really destroys the simulator. What all the fore-runners to this SIM had, like the last, F1 2014, IR-tracker was exellent. Moving the head to look into the turn (like RRE, DTM, iracing and actually most other SIM´s), is NOT FUNCTIONING in
F1 2015.

PLEASE, programmers of F1 2015, FIX so this IR-tracker starts working, like it was
exellently working in F1 2014, F1 2013, F1 2012, F1 2011...and so on.

When THAT is fixed, in my opinion F1 2015 is actually an AWSOME car simulator, well worth to be recommended to friends and people as something special!

But NOT until the IR-tracking has been fixed.

Is it not "amasing" ? Long time has passed and, STILL. the IR-"look around you ability"
dont exist in this F1 car sim.
I am tired of waiting.

I have used car-SIMs for decades, so I know what to recommend I think.
Therefore I recommend Assetto Corsa with all my heart. It is a fantastic car-SIM.
Dont miss this SIM. You can buy it here on Steam.

Asseto Corsa is, as I see, the best car-SIM up to date, ( including iRacing ).
I HIGHLY recommend it.
