Slay the Spire x Autobattler. Prologue is a bit on the easy side (only 2 of 3 acts and 2 difficulty levels atm), but its enough to have me excited for the full release.

Game has potential, but between balance issues and general jankiness it's kind of a mess right now. Had to abandon my last run when the game got stuck on "turn pending" and even loading up a quick save from multiple turns beforehand didnt help.

As a big fan of both cyberpunk and card games, I expected to love this game, but ultimately found it a mild disappointment. While it's not *bad*, nothing about it is particularly good either (except maybe the soundtrack). The scoring mechanics are interesting, but the card pool is fairly small, with some of the spell cards feelling significantly undercosted for their effects. Some of the reviews mention improvements to the AI, but it's still quite stupid - in a recent game my computer opponent dumped 2 single-target DoT cards on creatures they ended up killing with attacks before the DoT even procced. It also seems odd that given the high stakes presented by the story missions, there is no penalty for losing a match. The story itself is ok, with a clear Gibson influence, but again, nothing special.

I don't particularly regret buying the game at 50% off, but paying full price would certainly have left a bad taste in my mouth. I would be happy to change this to a positive review should future updates significantly improve the game, but given the relative scarcity of recent updates that seems unlikely.

Easily the most interesting take on the SRPG genre I've seen in a long time.

Starts off a bit slow, but it's damn fun once it gets going.

VNs generally aren't my thing, but this game won me over pretty quickly with an immersive setting, great characters, and an amazing soundtrack.

Despite being in EA, this is one of the most well-made, finely polished games I've played on Steam. If the idea of a 16-bit ARPG is appealing to you, just buy it.

Hearthstone in space, but with more interesting mechanics and a much less exploitative f2p model. Sadly it also has a small fraction of HS's playerbase, but it's still worth a try.

The mission objectives get a bit repetitive, but the game as a whole has considerable longevity as a result of its GTA-like "run around and blow ♥♥♥♥ up" appeal, and the variety of classes also helps keep things fresh. I've had a blast with this game so far and I haven't even tried Co-op yet.
