The shard thing threw me off a bit, but with a little help from the steam community, the next few months worth of spare time will be filled with all that the new Warlock has to offer. While I don't enjoy the moving troops from shard to shard, in fact I don't understand the point at all, I can see how some would relish the challenge. All the awesome new added units, races, and warlorcks, make the game completely fresh. Now what would be killer is a mod that add all the warlocks, that are missing from the first game into the mix.

If you want even more hours of joy, pick up Renaissance Mod. It adds a ton more content, including 3 new races, and fixes a bunch of game issues and bugs. It's the next best thing to Warlock 3. :-)

Facepalm! How in the holy hell did I miss that. Literally right there. Thank both of you, you have doomed me to many hours of joy!

At the very beginning, on the 'Difficulty' selection screen, there are four game modes in the upper right. Just choose 'Sandbox mode' -- and perhaps you can change your review to a 'thumbs up'. ;-)

Seriously? That would be great. What option do I have to choose to get inot sandbox mode?

You can play the original (sandbox) mode - as in the first game. With all the improvements of the second one.
