caused by noneother than the mainsteam media corperations.

Fast forward to October 2011.
The major media corperations are back at at, with a more aggressive tactic.
Enter SOPA and PROTECT-IP.
These bills are serious buisness. They threaten to allow any corperation with media they want
expunged from the Internet to do so with draconian measures that completely strangle an
"infringing" site out of existance.
SOPA makes it possible for any community site to be taken down with the slightest legal action.
SOPA can force advertising agencies and payment processors (PayPal) to deny the site all financial asstiance and terminate
their accounts.
SOPA also forces search engines, like Google, Ask, Yahoo, The Seeks project, DuckDuckGo, or any other
Internet indexing or searching project, company, or corporation delete any and all infringing entries.
Join the group to help protest againt SOPA, the Internet censorship bill.
Worst of all SOPA forces DNS providers and ISPs to entirely vaporize the website's domain name from their records.
If the MPIAA wanted www.example.com shut down, they would simply report it, and off goes the payment, DNS entries,
Search results. Anything and everything a site could work for, SOPA can shut it down if it allows any sort of community comments, forum software, or even a guestbook.
Help show protest this bill by sending a message to your congress-member against SOPA, help protest with the the EFF, Public Knowledge, The Free Software Foundation, Mozilla, Demand Progress, Fight For the Future, the PPF, Creative Commons, and Wikimedia.
Everyone but the media thinks SOPA is a bad idea. Help show that they can't buy out OUR government to censor the people the government is there to protect and serve.
