Playing 9v9 double mixes, usually on Fridays & Saturday, but could be any day. A player (ANYBODY) posts an announcement when something is scheduled, then it's pretty much first come, first served. Everyone is free to join regardless of skill level, only Mumble is needed.
And TF2.
Get Mumble: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/
PLEASE TRY TO SETUP AND TEST YOUR MUMBLE BEFOREHAND!
Invite your highlander-playing friends, the more people we have, the more mixes we can host!
NOTES:
1. Events are posted regularly here, sign up in comments.
2. We usually play on Rocket Blast #06 while waiting for the double mix to start. #06 address: 188.126.64.31:27515
3. Use of comms is mandatory. If you want to play highlander silent, use TF2Lobby.
4. If there are no volunteers, last one to Spectator is Medic. Pay attenttion.
5. Usually teams are picked with a complicated fat kid system. Medics ( melee ) fight each other for first pick. The Medic who wins, selects a player, then the losing Medic gets a pick. After this, the player picked in the first team chooses a player and so forth. In other words, the previously picked player is the one who chooses the next player for his/her team.
6. Last person remaining is the fat kid and people may laugh at him.
7. Discuss which class you want to play with your team and be a good sport. These games aren't really about showing off your amazing auto-aim with Sniper or whatever.
8. If the teams are unbalanced, they are repicked at the start of the next map ( includes 'Last to Spec is Medic' if no volunteers ).
9. Being drunk is not mandatory but recommended.
10. If yonus is handling the configs, be sure to remind him about them during the fatkidding.
EVERYBODY CAN MAKE ANNOUNCEMENTS! You can play as much as you want every day, even without colony members. Just use your own tf2 and mumble server (if no colony member is playing), as you need somebody with admin rights.
