Normally I can't stand Tolkien fantasy, especially turn based party oriented tolkien fantasy, but this is pretty damn fun and has some interesting ideas.

Wow, this game is amazing. It reminds me of a strategy board game in how firmly rooted it is in strategy and tactics over luck and dodgy mechanics. Essentially you command a small squad of special forces, detailing their exact moves through an enviroment as if you were mapping out the infiltration of a SWAT team. You're capable of simulating how you think the enemy will move, so the meat of this game really boils down to serious precision oriented strategy as you try to outhink more than outplay.

A strategy game in which you take charge as a UN branch on welfare and the enviroment. You play across the next century as tempatures rise, we run out of resources and we have to make the switch to renewables, orchestrating regime changes and managing the world economies.

Really hard. Most times you'll mismanage the economy and resources and plunge the world into a global famine, or thermonuclear civil wars, or a plauge.
