Bottom line first: Is this game worth the cost and would I recommend it to those who like turn based games? Absolutely yes!!!

Here are the Pros, Cons and tips:

Pros:
1. A lot of play time for the price. I played this game for 198 hours before it ended and I am sure I didn't do everything there was to do.
2. A lot of depth in this world. It is a very well designed and beautiful looking large world to wander around in.
3. The characters are not two dimensional, They are fully realized and have back stories and they love to talk with you.
4. A lot of replay-ability. Just make different choices in both characters and decision point outcomes. Lots of chances here to do things much differently and have different major outcomes.
5. The game is very stable in Windows 11. I had only one CTD in the whole time I played the game.
6. It is turn based and not RTS. I consider this a big plus as you have time to think about things before you have to do them.
7. The enemy is fairly smart and challenging.

Some Cons:
1. The game is gory and grisly at times. This is NOT a child's game! I wish I could have turned off those grisly scenes in the game but there is NO option to do that.
2. Some general "wokeness" rears its ugly head in the game. Expect your primary character to be hit on by same sex characters and there will be some, not too bad, same sex scenes (kissing primarily). I could have done without this and wish I had the option to turn this off.
3. With only four character slots available at any given time there is not too much incentive to try bards, thieves, and other such characters, although at times you might need them. I ended up with a magic user, cleric, druid and warrior occupying my four slots. Five or six slots would have been much better.
4. Too many locks and traps! I spent a LOT of time trying to constantly pick locks and disarm traps. This got rather tiresome after a while.
5. Tending to supply and logistics for characters got tiresome at times. There is no AUTO sort feature for each character's inventory so I had to periodically re-sort what they were carrying in order to find something.
6. Another tiresome thing: Managing inventory weight for each character. While there is a lot of incentive to pick up everything so you can in order to sell to make money, you will find your characters getting quickly encumbered because of the weight if you are not careful.

Tips:
1. Save often and consider having more then one save file. Use the first save file just prior to anything you might consider more then minor. Use the other save file at major plot break points so you can back track if need be. If you don't save often you WILL regret it!
2. Check EVERYTHING!! There is a lot of hidden goodies and items.

Despite the cons, I really loved the game and look forward to playing it again sometime in the future.

A lot of work has gone into this game! The art work is superb and everything is extremely detailed right down to the smallest items. IMHO the game is worth the money just for the ability to walk through and experience the extensive Wizarding world alone! The only issue at this point is the game, since the patch, has been unstable and crashes to desktop at the most inconvenient times, so save often.

I actually like the game and have found it rather interesting, but have had some very serious random crashes in full screen mode on a Windows 11 system with a Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card which has made it hard to play. The crashes take the OS completely down and forces a re-boot of the entire system. Until this is fixed I cannot recommend this game for Windows 11 users. FYI I am a very experienced Windows IT person and former software engineer with many years of Windows diagnostic experience so I no what to check for in order to resolve problems. I have found nothing in the Windows crash logs which seems to indicate the problem is with the game itself. All my drivers are up-to-date.

This game is interesting and has a lot of potential, but is plagued with random, and sometimes very bad, crash bugs on my Windows 10 high end system equipped with a AMD Radeon 6800XT Midnight black graphics card. One of the crashes completely re-booted my computer system. Another was a crash to desk top. Because of these crashes I often lose my game progress and have to start again, making what appears to be a great game VERY frustrating. I hope these bugs will be fixed making this game more stable. Until this happens I do not recommend this game.

Good story, excellent animations and cut scenes, and characters you care about. Recommended if you like puzzle games.

Early Access Review
A great and very addictive game! My only complaints are the available weapons selections are very limited and there is no transport available to you for some time. The game really needs something like a motorcycle available to you at the beginning. Too much walking for some time.

A lot of effort has gone into this survival type game and it shows. While it is an interesting game, I recommend this game however with qualifications in that it is probably a better game when played cooperatively with several human players, then when it is played with a single human player, as was my case. As a single player you are massively outgunned right from the beginning. You get very little in the way of weapons to start with but the computer player is not at that same disadvantage. It takes some time, and a number of re-spawns, before you get any really serious firepower. One of the big frustrations in the game for me was that there are vehicles, including intact undamaged armored ones, everywhere, but you cannot drive or use a single one of them! Your total mobility for the entire game is nothing more then a bicycle which is highly unrealistic. This element of the game really needs a fix that provides vehicles that you can drive.

Pretty good 4X space game but needs some improvements. You cannot build or configure star bases. Need the ability to direct production from one system to another system. Need the ability to deploy star bases to outposts systems since not enough supports points are available at any one time to garrison them as well as you need to. I have enjoyed playing this game for over 50 something hours now.

I wanted to like this game, which is similar to Panzer General, but it needs a fair bit more work before it's ready for primetime based on my play. The user intereface is a bit clutzy. Examples: (1) You can't give a save game a name of your own choosing. (2) No way to turn off autosave which tends to clutter up your save game folder with a LOT of save game files. (3) The "Restart" command for a mission doesn't appear to work and you cannot choose it, so if you want to begin again you must start from the very first Spain mission. You need to be able to begin a mission from scratch when things go wrong, without having to start from the very beginning all over again. The voice overs are not very impressive. Example: Hitler's American voice seems a bit comical and out of place. Especially when you consider that all the tip voiceovers sound more appropriately accented. I think there is potential in this beer and pretzels style strategy turn based wargame but it will be a while before it finally gets to that point.
