Defiance is the final game of the seires, and as such resolves most all still hanging plot threads. more over, as the seires ender, i didn't feel cheated like some other 'seires capstones' to come out recently *looking at you Bioware*
once again, the game picks up where Soul Reaver 2 left off, and this time, you get to play as Kain as well.
this game is a must have if you liked the first two Soul Reaver games
Soul Reaver 2 picks up literally where Soul Reaver ends, and the story continues from there, and this is where some unresolved threads from the last game are delt with, while others are left hanging for the conclusion in Defiance
combat and puzzles are largly unchange, but you do almost all the abilitys you collected in Soul Reaver 1
PLAY.THIS.GAME.
if your a fan of great story in games, do not ignor this game cause 'it's old' the writting and voice acting in this game are still a head of many games today, and you don't need to have played The Legacy of Kain:Blood Omen to get whats going on depsite being 'part 2' in the story line.
the platforming can be a bit dodgy at times, the combat is simple and some of the abilitys are, questionable, but most the puzzles are pretty good.
not going to talkabout the plot cause, spoilers, but this is the kick off point for Razile's story, which is continued in Soul Reaver 2 and capped in Defiance
