This is my second recommendation for this game - I wrote one upon the game's release in September 2011, and it wasn't a laudable game. Now in October of 2012, I can assure you the game has been fixed. Everything you would expect from a historical world war 2 shooter is in this game.

The community is fantastic. The servers are there, the player base has been establishing itself, and the community is designing custom maps to complement the existing map pool. The extent of realism provided by the game developers is fantastic for realism enthusiasts who prefer a more suspense driven warfare simulator, rather than the run and gun fps of today's market.

Buy this game, give some good community servers a chance, and you'll never go back to battlefield or call of duty again.

I bought this game over 4 times across different steam accounts and retail disks. Just thought I should mention that in my recommendation, this game is really that good. Once you play the game in vanilla try the expansion then try the mods, it's amazing. The mods alone will add 200+ hours of gameplay.

Would not recommend, the gameplay is repetetive, the only good thing about the game is the character customization.
