Fun game even solo, Do not be afraid to leave with a Pawn on a missing solo. If they are built and geared well you can handle most encounters solo. The only thing i find incredibly dumb is the frequency of solar flare and their length coupled with no way to keep you food cold so that it does not spoil and that you can not protect from them at all. Find a mod to fix this in your game.

This is a positive review but I am going to RIP on this games bad AI/Mechanics:

The AI: Is DUMB as all Hell and your Pawns will do even dumber things.... The Mental Break thing is just plain broken, you Pawns will destroy priceless things and consume things and just plain die from being unable to defend themselves during a raid due to mental breaks. There is no logic and the breaks can happen for no reason. (Example, I have them set to have all day recreation, they will still work and never recreate till they break.. this is part of the game saying you need to have 6+ options for them to do; but, early game it can be kind of hard.

World Generation: Is Bad. There is no logic to how biomes are placed on a planet except for the Frozen. Rain Forest is Ultra Rare on the many seeds i have tried to make and it is mostly temp or arboreal. Trying to find the right combo of road and stone you want can be challenging especially if you are trying to be hear a trader

Factions: There are only 2 Neutral factions in the game all other are hostile,, so on a map you will have a 9-12 hostiles vs 2 Neutral factions with Default faction settings. I suggest you add at least one extra neutral faction to any map you generate so that it is more evenly balanced and you MIGHT find a few traders you can start near.

Game play Map Generation: Also very bad. It always spawns one side of the map to have mountain and almost never have it create shapes that might give you more wandering or even Mountain valley as an option.
The river always runs in a straight line and only slightly wandering but not too bad and is natural looking.

This game is fun with Friends, Explore and just enjoy the chaos of Running around together. Play alone if you want; but, it loses most of the fun that way.

Great game! If you use mods this will make it even harder and more fun to have log playing games with many NPCs; But, i would have to rate this gave a 9/10 for its grand strategy play limited only by this 32bit engine.

Game is very boring in that you only see two enemies. It has potential but it is not worth playing at this time.
-- One VERY annoying thing about NORMAL Difficulty is that you have Wolfs and Bears almost every 30 yards and they will attack you for NO reason. If you run they will chase you for a very long time. The wolves will most-likely catch you. The bears are too slow. Death by overwhelming odds is NOT SURVIVAL! They make getting started ANNOYING AF, and I think they simply do not understand the concept of survival at all.
-- They make Fiber hard to find. You will be told that it is easy and just need you to play the game to find it, but for a new player it is not easy. There is about 1 plant every 30-40 yards and hard to notice. Why TF can i not just use the bushes for fiber and make thatch from branches and trees. I do NOT need sineu for rope but fine whatever,
-- MULTIPLAYER you do not get a gun, since you do not have a gun to kill wolf and bears expect a harder start than SOLO,
-- Kelp in the water is a good source of veggies and food, Grubs from trees are rare drops and is NOT a good way to get protein, since they are so rare and you need grubs to bait your traps choose wisely on eating them.
--- FOOD: Chickens, if you chase them they will stop running for a moment. so keep your stamina up and be quick to hit the action button to pick them up for easy food and feathers or to raise them in the animal pen. Rabbits are too fast for that. NEVER shoot them with a gun, it gives you a ruined carcass. Yes i know in real life we can use a shotty but this game is not like RL.
--- Water is easy to get; but, I find this game seriously lacking intelligence for making you get poisoned for drinking un-boiled water. There should be a chance to get parasite or something but not 100% or even 50%. ALSO, not being able to drink from the river and lake directly is a flaw IMO. Luckily you can make a fire and boil it.
-- Fireplace and TRAPS randomly break for no reason. I find this mechanic deeply flawed. Bears and Wolves will also attack your traps
-- Fall damage is very deadly. Anything that is more than 5 feet will kill you or leave you with only 1 hp.

This game has a good feel of RPG and Story. it has a satisfying end and reminds me of the Fallout 1-2 and New Vegas games. Give it a try.

I played on Supernova the whole time and I would recommend that you mod it to allow sleeping in other beds. Not being able to sleep in other beds is just annoying because of how fast your sleep wears down and affect your stats. I often had to go back to my ship after a quest or two on the planet because the sleep could only be delayed for a short time with Energy drinks.
- Negative stat effect are very harmful to your skills on Supernova, Always have water, Food and Energy drinks with you.
- I never really found a use for any of the Unique items or Science weapons, except for the shrink and mind control. I mostly just used the Pristine Items i looted.
- Pristine items generally give you one extra mod slot.

Great and easy to use for your home and save yourself the time and efforts of paying for one to game with friends.

The controls are poorly done, You have to try an get exact placement of your cursor to search thing, and even then you have to click two or three options after clicking the first search option.... If there are two or more object close to each other it can be near impossible to let the cursor on the target long enough to click the search and then the secondary search action

It is only online server play (No Solo player/friend only mods). The only good thing about the game was how cheap it was on sale. It is a wasted cash investment, in its current state. I hope it gets better in later patches.

It is fun for a short time. The worlds are hardly populated, not very diverse and less engaging than playing Minecraft in many ways. The largest danger you have is fall damage or forgetting the correct EPP. Get the Mod Frackin Universe to at least add some extra content and variations to the game. DO NOT CHEESE THE GAME or you will get bored really quickly.

I was hoping this would replace SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE, but this game feels MUCH smaller, less Endless Space.
- The games are intended to be short, not more than 100-200 rounds at most. Even with no timer and slow progression it is too short.
- The Galaxy size even with a large map setting just feels cramped and cluttered. MUCH to small compared to SINS
I recommend this game for what it is and because it provides good game play.
