Wow, this finally hit steam? Jeese. Took them forever.
This game is rather...difficult to get into due to the combat system. It's not a normal MMO where you auto attack to win. You have various skills you need to train and rank up. Some skills that EVERYONE can benefit from are Combat Mastery (For the health), Production Mastery (For the stamina (Trust me on this one, it's a worthy investment), Counter, and Defend. It only has 5 stats outside of the gauges. Strength, which effects melee combat, Dexterity, which effects archery, puppetry, and production, Intellegence, which effects magic and certain other skills, Will, which effects Martial Arts, and Luck, which effects EVERYTHING.
You have a destiny you can pick, which will further help you train and rank skills in that destiny. It will also give you a stat bonus the further in the destiny your are. You get a title based on your destiny, and a few combo destiny titles. There are also normal titles, which effect your stats even further.
Over-all, this game is UNFORGIVING. This game will have a high death rate, even among pro players. There are certain bosses you go in expecting at LEAST 3 deaths. But unlike other MMO's, there are ways to res mid fight. You can wait for someone to res you, or if your outside a dungeon, Shadow Mission, or Theatre Mission, you can res on the spot. In dungeons, you can res at the last statue. Otherwise, at town is the only option.
There are 3 races. Humans, Elves, and Giants. Giants absolutly own Melee in every form. Elves own Archery, Alchemy, and Magic. Humans get puppets. Sounds like humans suck, doesn't it? Humans get a few skills that make them on par with the other two races, Final Hit for melee, and Arrow Revolver for archery.
As for social, join a guild early on. This game is absolutly BORING otherwise.
Also, don't worry about levels. Those will be easily obtained and lost. Before you freak out, when you rebirth, you go to level 1, but your total level remains the same. Levels give stats as normal, but also give Ability Points, which are spent to rank up skills.
If you do decide to play this game, send me a pm on Steam, and I can help you get started with tactics/levelling guide/basics.
Overall? This is actually a pretty fun MMO that I've come back to on several occasions. I'd rate this 8/10, mostly due to lag issues, which I believe Nexon IS trying to fix.
