OSS, Detachment 101 - Private Group
The Office of Strategic Services (OSS) took an initiative in the Pacific Theater during World War Two and approved the forming of Detachment 101. Made up of some of the most battle-hardened field operatives in the service of the OSS, Detachment 101 funded and organized raids, skirmishes, and hostile control in Burma. Backed by several freedom fighters and rebels from the Kachin peoples of North Burma, the men of Detachment 101 quickly gained a reputation of sheer aggressiveness and overwhelming combative skill.
Founders Lucas Nishimoto and Gerrod Lanzendorfer, with the leadership of Michael Munro bring Detachment 101 to the Day of Defeat Source Realism Gaming community in an effort to provide a new style of play. This unit emphasizes quick-strike tactics and covert gameplay bringing its members that much closer to the jungles of the WWII Pacific Theater.
