Very interesting game if you're into old computers and programming. On one side it's puzzler, but you need to have some programming logic in you to make it work.

First of all, you don't need to be car expert to play this game. I'm a regular computer geek, not car afficionado and I didn't have any problems with figuring how to play. Also, this game won't teach you how to repair cars or be a mechanic.

Good:
It has a bit of management (buying extensions for your garage so you can do more stuff), a bit of puzzles (after tutorial part you have to find parts that need replacement) and a bit of grinding (buying cars, restoring them to sell at bigger price so you can buy new cars and restore them and... you get the picture).
While this game won't teach you how to be a mechanic (it is a game after all), you will learn what parts go in the car. Not every nut and bolt, but most important parts are there. Some people complain that all cars are basically the same. In a sense it's true, a lot of cars share same parts, in real life parts are much more specific to companies, two cars can have 4 cylinder engines but are actually differently built. If they went to that detail in the game there would probably be only 2-4 cars. So all in all I'm fine with this design. It would be too tedious to play if every nut and bolt was car specific.

Bad:
There are few annoyances though. Loading times are one. I guess that's the price of having cars that are "modular", unlike other games where you have one model that's car, cars in this game are not "one model" but built from many parts that have to be loaded, from geometry to textures.
Reparing parts gets really annoying over time, when repair is maxed out it has 90% chance. But some parts regularly fail repair. I've restored at least 30 cars in game and some parts and clutch plate survived repair in 3-4 cases, while fuel pump didn't survive repair 3 times max. And my success rate should be 90%... Another issue with repair is percentage randomness. It doesn't work like you click repair and you have 90% chance to fully repair it. How much is repaired is also random, it can be repaired for 30-50%, and it can be repaired for 2-3%. Each repair attempt having 90% chance of sucess. I'm not 100% sure, it seems it's some parts always repair for only few percents. You have to repair them a lot of times to get them to 100%, and each attempt has 10% failure rate so in the end you hit that 10% and part is wasted. I would prefer if each part had separate percentage and your skill is bonus chance. That way at least I would save on mouse clicks, a lot. Also, sound when repair fails is like gunshot bang. It's REALLY annoying! I really hope soon to be realeased CMS18 will have different sysem.
Lastly, auctions. They're really tedious. The way they work doesn't make any sense. If you go there and don't bid you'll for example see car starting price 5000, "bots" would bid and it would be sold for 8000. But if you bid you have to pay at least 3-4 times the starting price. There's no chance or luck, if you bid for 8500 on before mentioned car there would be another bid, you would bid again, and there would come another bid and so on. Simply put, there's no chance in this process. If you bid BE PREPARED to pay up. Even more than that car would be worth if you would sell it immediately. Another problem is bid itself, it's hardcoded to 500, you can't bid more or less. You have to go step, by step, not how real auctions work where you could bid 20000, you can only rise bid by 500. So each car auction takes a long time and you can't make it go faster if you want to buy that car. Another thing I hope will be different in CMS18.

All in all very fun and interesting game (to me), there are annoyances, as with every game, but they don't take away from main game.

I bouhgt this game almost three years ago, it looked like futuristic version of minecraft. But unfortunately the game was abandoned before it was finished. I'm just looking at screenshots and trailer and I can't say I saw anything like this actually in game...
