Life is Strange 2 starts well with an interesting premise and a story you want to explore. There's a distinctive lack of game play compared to the time power puzzle solving in LiS1, but the story premise holds it up.

By the end of the final episode I realised I was increasingly disappointed with how this game/story went. The writing became increasingly poor. Topics are delivered in quite an heavy handed way and many plot holes are never covered.

The concept is great, two brothers at different stages in their lives both being forced to grow up too fast. On top of that Daniel gets to question "why I can't I do what I want? I have powers" and Sean has to question his place next to his super powered brother while facing the responsibility of being the parent and the brother in one. The brothers are great. The world around them however is not delivered as well. The world is very binary in its morality on each subject it makes the brothers face, Sean gets to choose: that's good, that's bad, there's no grey.

In the end the rails shaping your choices are too clear to see in this game, the game play feels like an afterthought and the NPCs, the world and the final choices are underwhelming.

Used to think this one of the greatest games of all time. Has a fantastic single player mode and used to have a good multiplayer mode.

Unfortunately the multiplayer has been ruinined by microtransactions. But fine, we have the single player and that has mods! Mods the main reason for buying the PC version.

Oh wait, OpenIV has been banned by TakeTwo, killing the modding scene. Well thanks for that, you've now ruined the replayability of the single player mode.

Incredible.

Best way to describe it really. Really gives you a close a glimpse as you can get off what it was like on that incredible journey.

Early Access Review
Editing my review. I gave quite a bad review for the way SE Multiplayer had been broken by the developers. And also how they needed to change the way they do releases as they were releasing updates that were not ready for alpha.

I have recently tried the game again and the developers have done a fantastic job!

The multiplayer is working again and they now have a more stable beta branch. Really happy with that.

And as if to make it even better they've greatly improved the building UI, improved the sounds, general performance, killed numerous bugs and many other things aside.

This is a great game once again, and better than it's ever been. Highly recommended!

Not played this game since 2010 edition. It's still as fun and addictive but with many improvements; especially in the UI. There's a lot of satisfaction when you're able to change the course of match or dismiss a batsman with a change of tactics.

I do though wish it could be played in windowed mode.

This game is ridiculously fun. Especially the multiplayer.
