-1,000,000 credits would die 10x to the 1st helicopter boss again. Runs well, 40fps+ on steam deck with mix of high and a few max settings. Though I do think taking the graphics hit for true 60fps will save people a lot of pain with boss fights. 40 fps may just not cut it with boost response times for this game. Camera is a bit wonky to keep up with the boss in close proximity. Though some setting tweaks may help here as well, maybe trackpad camera might be better choice. I did notice the back R buttons were mapped by default. Def steam deck verified.

Game series runs amazing on steam deck. I can max out the settings without FSR 2.0 going at quality. Running at native resolution. Once you turn off all FPS overlay, use Cryo Utilities 2.1, use SSD, use decky loader for vibrant deck plugin, it only has noticeable drops for few seconds at the start of a new chapter level. I know its a ps4 game port, but it's a system showcase game. Very few pc games showcase the graphics fidelity on display here. Hoping for the trilogy to get a pc release along with some other sony studio games in the future. Ideally i'd like to avoid double dipping but the games on sale are really worth it.

Says press [2] to throttle valve. Didn't know Lord Gaben was into that. Nice!

9/10 RTS game, I like how different the factions are, and how difficult it can be to face certain factions. Looks very good and performs well. Glad to have this in my library.

Best tower defense game i've ever played, ranks high for RTS games as well. I've only played custom sandbox mode so far & the prologue. The game was pretty difficult on easy while i figured out the systems so i used the custom settings to make things easier. There is a deep customization system, mod drop system, base management system, and resource system.

The combat is a lot of fun taking on massive hoards especially with certain weapons. Going dual minigun, then switching to dual rockets, and then pulling out a hammer + flamethrower never gets old. If you're slow to build and or respond to random events the game will punish you. There is a balance of exploring, defending, building, responding to random events, with challenge involved that's a fun game play loop where time flies by.

There is a lot of replayability identified so far. Hopefully the campaign is good, i hear it's slow to ramp up the difficulty so it's probably best to start there to learn the systems or lookup youtube help videos. The graphics are really good with RTX & FidelityFX support. No DLSS yet. A beefy card and CPU probably is needed to handle the massive hoards that attack.

Early Access Review
The core game is quite cool. I'm seeing homeworld everywhere i look. Hope they add VR support and high resolution textures. The space skybox is quite nice but the textures up close are quite low res. Menu interface is quite simple but i'd like to see more interaction going in and out of the base. Maybe the ability to have more than a menu. I can see ships moving in the distance, but i'd Like to see some of them fly by up close. That would be really cool to see in VR. It also would be cool to be able to travel to the space stations nearby to spend money? Maybe this is the start of a franchise. I hope this game is successful and i hope it comes out on current and next gen consoles too. I look forward to more ship designs once the game completes.

Pretty good in the first 30-40 hours but gets old after that. Far as vr multiplayer experience its pretty cool but nothing compared to non-vr multiplayer games. The platform has to advance for more complex games and studios need to invest more in the platform with games.

Insane absolutely insane. The atmosphere of the city and detail of the world is incredible. I'm playing on a Rift sourced by a RTX 2070, M.2, 16gb Ram, and Ryzen 2700. I was able to turn the graphics preset up to ultra. Far as i have found there are no advanced graphics options but the performance is 90fps. I'm not far in yet and i had to take a break for my eyes but i was saying wow at every turn. The characters are really animated and cool. I hope they remaster the previous games in VR also as well. The source 2 is an incredible upgrade.

There is plenty of interaction but a few curious and obvious misses. At the beginning the radio can be tuned and the antenna can be extended. This doesn't seem to affect the signal though. There are fans on top of the radio but they don't slow down if you poke your finger at them. You can spin the globe which contains lore info. The dry erase markers and eraser work on the window. Throwing bottles shatters them but if thrown at guards outside of the play area, they don't have a reaction. Car doors can be opened but the windows can't be rolled down by hand. Even though there are missed opportunities overall the graphics, setting, characters, interactivity, intuitive gravity gloves, voice acting, and fun game play make up for any oversights.

This is a hardware seller and enough to convince me to spend on getting a higher resolution headset like the index in the future. I you have a headset you need to get this. If you don't consider getting a rift or vive used.

Man wish they would make a full 3D game of this with bot tech like the ones in Elysium. The art style, weapon variety, enemies are all varied and fun to use the different classes. I will be grabbing the switch port when that releases next month,
