It's like a Pokémon game that doesn't suck...

Do not play this game for the "Story". It is basically a fainting simulator... 1/10...

I was very sceptical, thought this game will be gimmicky or too corny... a bit like the old games used to be. I was quite surprised to get a solid RPG game with a very nice combat system, decent characters and an interesting story (so far). I am far from finishing the game as I am exploring a lot, but that is another plus - I want to explore, both inside and outside of the castle.

Is the game perfect? No, the performance is all over the place, I have random FPS drops at seemingly random locations, and the game stutters every now and then but it is not common enough to bother me, it might bother some. Also, the broom flying controls are... clumsy. Once you get used to them it works well enough but it took me some time.

If Fatshark knows how to do something it is to make a game feel very Warhammer. This game looks, feels and sounds like Warhammer game should.
So is this game just 40K Vermintide? Yeah... sort of. If you played Vermintide you should feel right at home. This time you'll smite the enemies of mankind with power swords and lasguns in the name of the Emperor. Worship the Golden Throne!

Pros
+ Looks, sounds, feels great
+ A lot of nice weapons / guns that also looks, sounds, feels great
+ 4 different classes that banters with each others, you can customize their backstory / character (a little)

So any cons?
- The stability is questionable, but improving across the beta
- The missions feels a bit samy, in Vermintide 2 you had cities, villages, forests, ruins, castles, dungeons... here it is just a hive city. It looks really good but gets a bit repetitive - new maps were added, one is on the outskirts of the city, the other one is under open eky
- The mission pool seems a bit limited, but not all of them are yet in the game
- Not nearly enough pictures / statues of the Holy Emperor

Is the game incredibly wonky? Yes...
Is the graphic servicable at best? Yes...
Is the face mimics haunting my nightmares? Yes...
Do I recoomend the game regardless? Yes!

Easily the best remaster / remake of a remaster of a game. Also, it took them just 22 years to discover that Bohemia exists. Not bad considering there are people who still think Czechoslovakia exists...

In his infinite wisdom our king, long may he reign, declared war on 4 different kingdoms. I led 2000 men in a desperate fight. Retaking castles and towns, crushing enemy armies in the field. And good men died every single battle. When my own castle got besieged my once glorious army consisted of 150 men healthy enough to battle. So with the garrison we were 250. Against 760. When the fight was done I stood victorious along with 17 men. It was a hollow victory though since in my absence we lost 2 more towns and 3 castles.

It's more Borderlands, just with slightly worse humor...
