DayZ Survivors EU

Welcome to the DayZ Survivors EU steam community group.

Due to the need for safety against potential attack from bandits you will only be able to join this steam group by invitation. Please send a PM to the group owner asking for an invite. Please do not hassle our officers or members for invites as this will not grant you membership to the group. By joining this group you accept to abide by and spread the following advice for being a successful member of the group.

DISCLAIMER: Eligibility for membership may be revoked without notice if you are found to be unsuitable as a member of the group for the benefit of the group.

General Advice:

# Sneak around zombies rather than kill them! Zombie loot is not worth dying for, compared to the loot found in buildings.
# Extinguish flares when they are not absolutely necessary.
# When under attach by zombies, run to somewhere you have confirmed is safe, rather that somewhere you think is safe but have not checked for sure.

Travel:

# Always stop when someone says they can't see you.
# Don't start moving until you are sure other team members are not de-synced.
# People can make mistakes, so when a player says they are going one way, don't take it for granted. Make sure you have visual confirmation that they are doing what they said they would.
# When travelling as a group always stay in formation behind the point man. Breaking formation breaks the groups field of view. See http://www4.brinkster.com/rgernaat/Delta6.asp?wedge.asp and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infantry_tactics for more information on infantry formations and tactics.

Rules Of Engagement:

# Never fire on a survivor unless you have confirmed it is not someone in our team.
# Don't shoot when near buildings! Even if a zombie hits you! Lead it out of town and then shoot it! Or if you have enough ammunition, hide in the nearest building and mop any alerted zeds.
# We prefer not to kill survivors, especially when they are declared as friendly and outnumbered by our group. Exceptions to this are when the group are raiding a specific target area and security demands that no unknown risk be allowed to threaten the groups safety.

Communication:

# Due to the sensitivity of our team members location data, we would ask that all members ensure a high level of awareness of the information they pass onto other players not in our group so as to not put our members in danger from bandits.
# Always confirm the targets you are engaging with your team members by saying “Engaging Zed/Target”
# Always report the outcome of your engagements with your team members by saying “Zed/Target Down”
# When you hear one of our team say “Wiggle” press 'q' and 'e' alternatively to “Wiggle” this helps identify you as a member of the group while the group is dispersed and not in formation. This will help you not get shot by our team.
