It's a Good CRPG, possibly Owlcat's best. Is it better than BG3? ♥♥♥♥ no. Honestly they're not even the same league. It's like comparing Premier league to local football hooligans. Bugs a plenty, lack of VA, and honestly graphics that are a bit too cartoony for the setting. That being said, For a studio Owlcat's size, it is very well done. Hopefully they make some changes, like allowing you to change archetypes. Overall, it's a good, but not great CRPG, and it's certainly no masterpiece. 8/10

It's kinda like Xcom lite with grey knights. I dig it.

quite frankly, it doesn't feel any different than it was in EA. It's probably completely abandoned by now.

It's AQ. It's fun and charming, if a tad too simple for my taste. But I highly recommend giving it a try if you have fond memories from playing AQ or Dragonfable when you were younger.

It's out boys, and it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ banger. Was it worth paying full price three years early? I'd say yes. Now that I've played it a ton more, it is absolutely amazing. Probably my favorite video game of the last decade, perhaps even my favorite of all time. There are some things I don't like, mainly the inability to return to past acts, but honestly I can forgive it. Easily the best CRPG I've ever played, and that's saying something. I'm not going to lie to you, it is basically Divinity 2 Electric Boogaloo, But it really is that good. There are so many things I dislike about the game, genuinely, but it is so much fun that all the negatives don't matter. I think the main reason I enjoy the game as much as I do, is because It really feels like I can do what ever I want. I don't have to allow clearly villainous characters to live. Rest in pieces Lucretious your necrosexual ass will not be missed.

10/10 Best game I've played in the last ten years. Mind you, I love CRPGS, so if you're not a fan of turn based games, it might be a 9.5/10 for you. Give it a try. Just do it.

Positives
++++ Karlach
+ Items and Gearing from DnD. Which means you basically never really out level that really cool weapon you found. Because even a +1 is still a good bonus enough bonus if the weapon has a cool ability.
+ Most of the companions are great.
+ Super Varied. Playing an Evil campaign is almost basically a different game. Sure the over arching story is similar, but the people you befriend and the encounters are different.
+ Complete freedom. Don't like a character? Push em off the cliff. Don't want to fight someone? Convince them to allow their students to murder them instead!
+ Charisma is king.
+ Mind flayer powers are weird, but fun most of the time.
+ Certain subclasses are way better than they are in the PHB.
+ Rangers don't suck!
+ You can go almost anywhere. Really high cliff? Fly! place that seems like you can't get to? Jump! Honestly I've been so impressed by how easily I can go places.
+A certain Companion got a new ending!
+New After party scene is absolutely fantastic.
Negatives
- Certain spells are completely neutered from 5e Like polymorph and fly.
- Swimming and Flying freely just don't exist.
- Not enough subclasses. They basically just use the PHB, which is a shame.
- No artificer!
- 12 level severely limits certain classes. Come on man, I just wanted my find greater steed. Which would have just worked like a pet, but gimme my gryphon damn it!
- Ranger pets are quite limited. I would have liked at least a couple more options. (Like a giant frog. Granted I'm biased as hell.)

I genuinely wasn't expecting to like Elden Ring as much as I do. I never managed to get into souls games, despite starting with Bloodbourne. Everyone says the same thing, you die a million times to a boss, and then get a huge rush after beating them, but for me, it's the exploration that really sells it. Finding a powerful weapon or boon while exploring is something that feels completely missing from themepark open world games like Assassin's creed. And the freedom to truly go wherever you want, without an obnoxious HUD getting in the way is fantastic. Finally beat it, and honestly it's still all I want to play. Lads, it was great.
