Well I enjoyed it years ago, but it appears the game is entirely unplayable on my win 10 machine. Stuck at playfab screen, no solutions from Google have helped and it's been like 5 years since the bug was reported so guess it's just how it is. Normally I wouldn't give a negative because of an issue affecting only me, but a 5 year old issue that's reported by many over those years is a bit much.

First off, obligatory I bought the game when it released and found it quite lacking and repetitious. I've been thrilled to see the changes they've made over the last 4 years and when I saw there was multiplayer with a good amount of functionality I was like, now's the time. It wasn't.
While I do recommend the game I think it's CRUCIAL a potential buyer know what they're expecting to get out of the game. It is full of bugs, it's practically made of bugs. Playing alone the bugs are relatively manageable and often corrected by loading the game. Playing with my friend however the bugs are so severe as to entirely derail progress and experience. Items will disappear from 'buildings', things will be inexplicably "used" by the person on another planet, ground will snap back into place or you'll teleport to the surface after digging underground. The list goes on and on and on... and on.

All that said, there's a lot to do and a lot to see. There's a lot of variety in creatures and plants and the different worlds can be pretty cool, there's always something new to see... but only if you can avoid falling through the floor of your freighter and dying long enough to get there.

Having now over 700 hours played, I believe this is my most played Steam game with Civ V coming in at about 550. There's really nothing I can solidly complain about in Terraria that wouldn't just be me asking for more goodies. There was a point when I was worried I was getting shafted when he released a console version with console exclusive content that PC users would never see. We still dont have much of what was given to consoles but it no longer bothers me as we've been given much much more and there's a promite of getting even MORE.
This is easily the best $5 I've spent on a game basically ever. It's great for multiplayer and it's great alone. It's often compared to minecraft but honestly after having played some minecraft (which I hadn't done until after playing Terraria) I realized that this is FAR superior, though a 3D terraria would be kickass. This has more diverse battle experiences and feels like it has much more to do than minecraft.
If you never want to see your friends offline again, this is the game for you. Anyone who doesn't like this game likely doesn't have a soul

Like everyone else bought this game while the dev promised freatures he later decided would be too difficult to add. Then instead of any possibly classy actions he decides to basically steal everyone's money and make a different game which is then ALSO charged for, even though we all paid him to develop this new game under the false pretense that he was developing this one.
Decent game, Dev is a terrible human being, lied and stole from his customers as far as I'm concerned.
