Early Access Review
This game looked promising in the description but it led me to actually doubt my way of supporting developers by buying early access...

The interface is horrible and I have seen some bad design etc. in my 25 years of gaming experience.

There is no tutorial whatsoever, so I was put off and had no nerve to even try and understand the tactical gameplay after 30 minutes into the first game of the campaign.

I can only advise everyone to wait for the final product or just skip this title. Sorry lads.

I have bought, supported and developed enough early access/alpha/closed beta games myself to safely judge that this whole thing was a rip off, not an early access as the common person would assume. But sure, all of you are entitled to your opinions as well, go buy it and be happy if you think it is ok NOW, after the early access I looked at back in Febuary.

Hm. I know you've probably had this pushed in your face over and over already, but early access games are not finished. :)

As you can see it was an early access review, and there was no manual and it had such a horrible UI I never even bothered to check it out again, even after release...

There's a game manual as well. Looks like a typical war game to me from back in the day, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy. You needed to read the manuals for those.

You don't get to define what Early Access is. Early Access is EARLY ACCESS. If you wanted a finished game then wait. Pointless review.

No, early access means the game is prior to release. That's it. It could as well be an alpha or a concept, doesn't matter.

Early access (beta) means the game should be more or less finished with need of some balancing and polishing. This is not even in alpha stage yet - I am surprised it made its way to steam and I am disappointed I fell for it.

It's an early access. Complaining here that the UI isn't functional, nor moaning about the absence of tutorial is entirely pointless in a review of something in alpha or beta state. Extremely few early access games come with any manner of tutorial, and if you really had had 25 years of gaming experience, you would know this.

There is a tutorial under the Scenarios button.

Fingers crossed that unlike several other early access, which I shall not mention (*cough* Kinetic Void *cough*), the work toward a fully realised final product continues at a fast rate. That Kerberos do have a plan and an expected shipping date for the final release helps.
