Chasing Nazis and hunting for treasures in 1938 - sounds like Indiana Jones. And that is pretty much what this is, except that your hero is called James Lee Quatermain and that this is an FPS with puzzles instead of a Point&Click-Adventure. It's a good game overall, while also being a bit buggy at times. Falling through the floor and out of the map, getting stuck while walking for no apparent reason, texture pop-ins or options not saving like the unlocked framerate, things like that. Nothing game breaking, nothing too annoying.

I actually enjoyed playing through this game a lot. It has just the right length for my taste - my playthrough clocked in at around 10 hours. The gunplay is solid, the graphics are quite nice and the story is cheesy, but not bad at all. I also like the mechanic of using a compass to find treasures. It gives a sense of adventure and discovery, although it doesn't make much sense if you think about it. What compass would point towards ancient treasures? But hey, it's a video game, so who cares.

This is more of a budget type kind of game. You can sense the limited resources the devs had when making this. And for something like that, it's actually really good. Not on the level of Wolfenstein or DOOM in terms of polish, but it's a nice game nonetheless. The developer, Farm51, went on to make the game GET EVEN, which has been well received by critics and consumers. I have to take a look at that one sometime, too.
