While I've only played scant hours of this game, so far it is fantastically fun. The stylization makes for fun and interesting characters, it's vibrant and beautiful, I don't think I've seen a game with such a fantastic-looking ocean! I can't wait to adventure and explore the map even more! While the prospect of PVP scares me in most games, here it fits! The ocean's so open that seeing a ship on the horizon can fill you with a bit of excited dread as to whether they'll be friend or foe, whether you'll manage an escape or have to stand and fight. The better maneuvers will win! All in all this game is really fun and I've only played four hours! Playing with an entire crew's gonna be a blast! There's treasure a-waitin', me hearties!

Bizarre, disturbing, and mysterious, this game has fantastic and chilling design, solid platforming, and a story that leaves you with more questions than answers, but that's part of its charm. I would love more from this developer; more DLC or even a new game with some new strange and somber atmosphere that leaves its players thinking and yearning for knowledge of Little Nightmare's universe. Short enough to be digested easily, but long enough to keep you occupied for a good stretch with achievements that are obtainable with just the right amount of challenge. I love this game and there need to be more indie titles like this that experiment and present brand new stories to digest. :)

What can be said about The Witcher 3? Aside from solid gameplay, fantastic music, and some of the best facial rigs I'd ever seen, it's a work of art that is just as fun to play as it is to look at.

CD Projekt Red has had it's ups and downs with The Witcher series, essentially working through kinks and bugs of what kind of game they wanted to make AS they developed them. The very first game is...well, it's in a league of its own, that's for sure, and not necessarily for the better. But kudos to CDPR for making the attempt! Otherwise, we wouldn't have the masterpiece that The Wild Hunt is! Witcher 2 saw a change in combat and map structure, leaving a few soured on the inability to travel back to previous locations. While the graphics had improved, something was missing.

And then came The Wild Hunt. Upon playing it for the first time, I was completely floored. Not only had I never seen facial rigs and texturing that were as lovingly detailed and impressive as the character models in The Wild Hunt, but the game felt whole. It felt big and it felt inviting, as though CDPR was behind some veil telling me "Go ahead! Take her for a drive and see what you think!" Enormous maps with breathtaking scenery that had me taking screenshots every five minutes, weather changes that could sometimes make you feel like you needed to find somewhere to let Geralt sleep to let it pass (getting caught out in a storm doesn't affect much, but the way the trees bend to the strong wind just makes that impulse to find an inn that much stronger).

The story itself is a love letter to the original books, having a plot that pulls information from the series, but doesn't try to BE the books themselves. This plot is its own beast, while drawing on many of the short stories of the Witcher books and bringing many of the colorful characters therein to life. Once I started playing, I couldn't put it down. I was so compelled to see where it was going, and yet I tried very hard to make it last as long as possible. This wasn't the type of game you wanted to end too soon! I managed to hang back enough to have all the DLC to play after beating the main game. And as though CDPR couldn't improve upon perfection, the DLC is possibly better than the main game, with both stories providing hours of gameplay; they're essentially their OWN games! They're that big!

Without revealing too much, all in all, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is an excellent end to the witcher games, it's polished, it's beautiful, the characters are gorgeous (and not just because Geralt is my main man!), the voice acting's fantastic (for those of you who have played through the first game, you'll know what I'm talking about, haha!). More than anything, you can actively feel the heart and soul and love that went into creating the game for us players. Every texture, every pixel, every chord in the soundtrack as you traverse the enormous map, feels tended to and lovingly displayed to the best of its abilities. It's a hard feeling to describe. You can feel the pride of CDPR in every step of the game, and it shows. So do yourself a favor! Play it! You'll see what I mean!

Outlast is a game that takes a few tips from horror games of old, creating tension in place of constantly trying to scare the player. The isolation of being able to obtain notes or see in the dark only through your video camera makes you feel completely vulnerable, much like Amnesia or Penumbra. A lack of being able to defend yourself heightens the anxiety for sure. I would say that this game fits more on the side of psychological horror, however, as much of what the player sees or experiences is meant to elicit a visceral or uneasy reaction rather than complete and utter scares; not that those have been neglected, either.

All in all, a good game, significantly long enough, the DLC is worth the money, definitely a favorite of mine, with a fun and different story. Buy it! Enjoy it! Pee your pants!
