Long-story short: This game is absolutely for Dead by Daylight fans. It's a game that offers the frantic pacing that Dead by Daylight is known for, but increases the odds of survival, allowing the Scavengers (Survivors if you play DbD) a chance to fight back against that hunting them through deceit by using their skills, their ability to move from one point to the other without much trouble. Each Scavenger comes with a wide-array of skills ranging from the ability to cloak themselves, toss smoke bombs, and even toss overshields on one another to prevent them from taking hunter damage.

All of the Scavenger gameplay is in third person and the game responds rather well. Surprisingly enough, I decided to play the game with a controller, which believe it or not, respond extremely well, whether you are a Hunter or the Scavenger and actually, imho, makes the game even more fun if you just want to sit back on your couch and play a couple matches.

Meanwhile, the Hunter is another beast of its own. Currently, there's only a few to select from with minor skin modifications such as the T-800, which believe it or not, feels and sounds like it was pulled straight from James Camerons 1992 release of Terminator 2: Judgement day, just without the beautiful red lasers coming from its weapons, but we can hope that happens later. Additionally, every hunter is extremely versatile in what they do and each comes with their own play style. The starting hunter is great at setting up ambushes, allowing you to place traps where you want, using them to help you spot the group of Scavengers before they can grab an objective, while another can cloak, allowing it to sneak up and plant the perfect shots with its sniper rifle and burst rifles, making it an extremely lethal long-range opponent, while the other can lay mines around the map, setting up defensive points around blood altars and the pillars they will use to end the match.

Performance and sound wise: It's a delight and all I can say? Crank those headsets to max, sit back, relax, and get ready for the hunt! I can't wait to see if story elements get added and what kind of Hunter/Scavenger designs they'll add at a later date. For now, I just have to wait to play it again until my new PC stuff arrives!

Pros:
+Runs extremely smooth on PC with minor to no frame rate hiccups
+Graphics are just as beautiful on PC as they are on consoles
+Steam is not required to play the game making the launcher a useful utility
+Controller support is a must-have for this game

Cons:
-Lack of keyboard and mouse will be a drawback for some PC gamers

I’m not sure how many times I’ve seen this shrine. I’ve probably seen it half a dozen times. Half a dozen more than I cared to at this point. I’ve dodged, dodged, dodged, and unfortunately somehow I’ve still managed to get knocked into the bigger foe ahead of me only to somehow get an arrow in the back. Not even the small alley’s between these huts have saved me. I should know this well by now, I’ve played this plenty on PlayStation 4 with Nioh and somehow – I still. Manage. To. Freaking. Die. Every. Damned. Time.

While my playtime on this version appears short, I can tell you already, I've put a healthy amount of time in on it on another account tied to this PC and my PlayStation 4 and I can honestly tell you. This is a solid game and its an extremely fun one that you should definitely pick up if you're a fan of the Soulsborne genre with a unique little twist in the means of a Samura-gone-Souls setting. Definitely will be putting more time in on it now that I have the free time to do so.

One of the best games I have played in a very long time. After having met and interviewed Final Boss Entertainment at QuakeCon 2014 under a press event, I was very excited about this game, and my excitement has not changed since then. Even having logged quite a few hours in (on my friends account by accident), I can still say that this game is insanely fun, addictive, and will keep players around for hours. It returns to the old school fast paced-twitch shooters that we remember from back in the mid to late 90's. Great job and the fan workshop is just amazing with throwback content from games like DOOM and DOOM 2.
