I'm very new to shmups of any kind and the gradual difficulty increase in this game is really good for someone like me. Not too hellish to handle until you hit higher level enemies. Really enjoyable gameplay altogether for short burst of gameplay here and there (run is ~20 mins, can pause between stages until next time). Still got at least a year or so worth of new content coming in before it's fully released so you can sink good 40-50+ hours into this game no problem.

Do note that currently the only negative reviews are one review that begs for clown awards (DO NOT feed these trolls, please), and four extremely negative and contrarian reviews. I can somewhat understand the complaint of overly cutesy at times but it's really not that big of a deal.

Your good intentions just might backfire on you

Pet some dogs, have them follow around you as you wreak havoc across the world. Transform into a wyvern to cross obstacles (or destroy your enemies as one). Level up character. Level up numerous classes. Gather some materials. Upgrade gear.

Simple, great, easy recommend for when you just don't want to have fun playing games.

This game is, dare I say, GOATed

Cool sidescrolling whatever-you-wanna-call-it survivorlike bullet heaven, whatever. Pretty graphics and good tunes to slaughter gorillion enemies to. Less to do with punching than it does have to do with dodging, though! Well worth the price.

Can get a bit rough on your fingers though, so pace yourself.

Fun 2 hour romp, just get it.

Fun immersive sim that made me love both utilising explosives and then vacuuming the aftermath.
