Second indie game I've come across in my lifetime that deserved my purchase. I probably would have never discovered this gem if not for the 2016 Summer Sale.

The plot seemed straightforward at first, but as you advance through, nothing seems that straightforward anymore. You got some dialogue options too, mainly for further inquiries and to spice up some conversations. It's a linear story, for those hoping for a Telltale-like experience, but it's a linear story handled with care. Don't pass it up because of that.

I like A.R.I.D. She may be cold sometimes, but it's a side effect of being an AI. She becomes a lot more human as the story progresses. I don't play that many games featuring a female protagonist as the main star, but I don't care much about who is the protagonist as long as the game catches my attention.

I won't delve too deep with the other characters in order to avoid spoilers, but I will say this; there's a guy who is witty and your most trusted ally, and there's another who is a total douchebag.

I'm surprised that the voice acting is AAA quality, the VAs did a fine job.

As for gameplay, yeah its controls are clunky and confusing and some of its puzzles are complex or just plain frustrating to where you'll need to consult the walkthrough, but it's not too shabby. The combat appears simplistic, but you'd be surprised on how fast you can die when you don't slow down a bit to take in what is going on.

It's a short game, but it's an enjoyable experience. Don't let its faults sour the story you're trying to pay attention to.

I'd rate it a 9/10.
