Visit QuarterToThree's profileAfter about 100 hours, I have to say that I am yet to be sick of this game. There is plenty to do, and I can choose how I want to do things. Think of this game as being a bit like a Medieval version of Sid Meier's Pirates! Dealing with looters, trading goods across the map, defending against bandits is a good way to start. Getting a little army together and bashing up innocent farmers or caravans is all well and good. But rather than being the Calradia bully, it is worth stepping up and taking on real targets - other Lords, castle sieges with a variety of weapons. And I should add that combat is done from both on the ground and on horseback. What a good feeling it is to pull out a lance and go charging into an escaping soldier.
DeathSpank is a fairly ordinary Action RPG. In fact, call that ARPG lite because the loot system is fairly lacklustre, character development is narrow, and game replayability is virtually nil. Sadly, the humour tends to fall flat, at best the game dialogue tries to be funny but ends up being lame. About my only real laugh was Bong's Potion Store, with a little spaced out gnome. Otherwise, no other diaglogue or game event could be considered memorable for the laughs.
Bundaberg? I'm pretty sure I've been to Bundaberg or at least I drove through it once.
