Trainyard is coming!

The Official Steam Group for the upcoming community made Team Fortress 2 map, Trainyard! Trainyard, technically Trainyard V2, is a remake of the original concept map Trainyard, built by korushi (aka FirefoXE). The original trainyard map was very small, and had several gameplay issues that could not be fixed because of the small size. Shortly after this was determined, V2 was in development. For roughly the last 3 months version 2 has been in development, and the detail is stunning. The best guess at a release date is roughly around christmas, 2009, however nothing is certain until the map nears completion. The few setbacks that are being encountered are the limits of Hammer, and generally every detail needs to be considered. Currently the Red Base and most of the outside areas are complete, as shown in the video (link below). The blu base and more detail inside/outside is being worked on currently. The blu base will not be an exact replica of the red base, it will have different textures and props, however the same basic layout.

Additional Information:

-The map is a capture the flag map, however a capture point version will also be made once the ctf version is released.

-The map is very large, larger than most valve maps, however it is open enough to allow for strong, fun gameplay with lots of advantages for all classes.

-The map has over 5 moving trains with dynamic routes to effect gameplay.

-The map has, and will continue to be, tested over and over again to ensure all classes have an equal advantage, the environment does not give a visual or tactical advantage to any class, and to generally ensure a great visual and gameplay experience
