The latest video game industry surveys reveal that the majority of gamers are 18-35 years old.

It comes as no surprise that colleges are hotbeds of gaming activities and communities. At USC, it's almost impossible to walk through a dorm hall and not come across someone playing Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Call of Duty 4, Halo, Gears of War 2, or Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Despite this, USC has no organizations on campus solely dedicated to gamers and their pastime. Well, we USC members think it's time for a change.

USCG's goal is to develop a community acting in the best interest of USC gamers. We want to be a platform that makes it easier for others to discuss their pastime, organize events and find other like minded individuals to play with. As we grow, we plan to organize campus events and tourneys.

Hopefully, we'll do our part to eliminate the harmful stereotypes that circle around gaming in general.

Members must be a student attending USC (undergrad or graduate), USC Alumni, in USC's falculty/staff, or live in the Columbia area. Honorary membership can be awarded to those in South Carolina who help us with organization or advertising.

While we will not require you to wear our tag, we would love for you to help advertise our group! Members, please tell any who is interested about our group.
